  1. Hi Ewa, There is no internet access in the rooms (or at least there wasnt when I was there in March!) The internet cafe is good though. I have heard a lot of you ladies talking about HDC photographers - and if Nancy's photos ar anything to go by I would definitely like to use them! My question is: are HDC the hotel photographers or do you book them seperately? we have photography included in the ultimate package. if this is not HDC can someone post the package prices for HDC? Thanks in advance! Pam
  2. Thanks Dolfinluck I'm still waiting for a reply from Tiara but at least I have a ton of information from you ladies here now! it'll save me asking so many time consuming questions thank you all and congratulations Nancy!
  3. Hi Dolfinluck! I saw some of your previous posts including your wedding review - your wedding looked beautiful! I have already stolen your lanterns and chinese umbrella ideas! In relation to your post above regarding going with the free package and adding on what I want - what is the cost person for dinner if you do that? I'm kinda paranoid that there are going to be hidden costs everywhere
  4. hi girls, thanks for the updates I can live with the $12.60 per person I guess; it just seems a little cheeky to have people pay so much for an all inclusive holiday and then have to pay extra! But maybe they have to have additional staff to cover the private party so I can understand that. Still trying to work out if the Ultimate Wedding is the right option for me.... there are so many things included in the package that I dont require, such as a hairdresses (my sister is one and will be coming with me) and the various other things like make up, assistance with dressing etc. I am only going to have approximately 30 people so will only have to pay for the additional ten on top of the package, but i'm not too keen on the menus... and I think I would also like to upgrade the photographer... hmmm decisions decisions!! oooh I just thought another question someone may be able to answer... I am catholic but am not too fussed about whether I have a religious ceremony or not. However I definitely dont want to get married before I arrive in dominican - our guests are travelling all the way from Ireland after all so I want them to see the real thing! however I am not too keen on the whole spanish judge thing. is this the only way to get legally married in dominican? If so I noticed some of you mentioning a pastor rick - Do you think I could have a spiritual style cermony with pastor rick and then go off inside the hotel somewhere with a couple of witnesses and have the legal ceremony with the judge? sorry for all the questions but it has been 9 days and still no reply from Tiara! Poor girl must be snowed under
  5. Thanks Sheri! Oh wow you must be so excited - only 40 days! It doesn't sound like you have you been to DLR before? If not trust me, it is incredible and you will love it there - it really is the perfect spot for a wedding. The bar that you are talking about is pretty much directly across from the deck - about 20 feet away! I don't think our guests would have any issue with fetching their own drinks if that is an option? Unless maybe you have to go with table service drinks? Is there any additional charge for reserving the deck?I read that it is $1000 to rent the SSG but I am hoping that is only for the entire restaurant exclusively. Thanks again for the reply!
  6. Hi Ladies. You have no idea how happy I am to find this thread! I was in Dreams La Romana in march this year and totally fell in love with the place. My boyfriend proposed two weeks ago and we instantly knew we would get married in DLR! But having contacted Tiara I am finding it impossible to get replies to my questions from her, and it is taking up to 5 - 7 days to get a reply so maybe you girls can help me? All I want to know is: we have about 30 people travelling from Ireland and are looking at the ultimate package. we would like the ceremony at the gazebo and then the reception at the decking area outside seaside grill. Are our guests drinks included in their all inclusive stay or do we have to pay for drinks consumed? I know there is sparkling wine included in the package but what if they are choosing other regular drinks? is there any additional charge for having a private dinner or is the cost already included in the ultimate package? thank you in advance! any advice would be much appreciated
