just because it's in NY doesn't mean we cant share I am still sticking to the same theme just a different location. I think it's a definite that it will be in NY. I know this is a destination forum but I will still be involved hehe

Ladies I am afraid I have some bad news. I am thinking of canceling the wedding at DLR and having it in New York due to the fact that it will cost people more than 1000 to go to DR and since almost all of them live here I don't want it to be a burden. I know that my family does not have tons of money and neither does my FI so we are strongly considering just doing it in NY which was our original plan. I will keep you all posted...I am very sad but I don't want to want it to be a burden for people if they can't afford it especially my immediate family.

Do you happen to have pictures of flowers and stuff that maybe they sent you earlier. I haven't received anything and I am getting annoyed lol. Maybe you can email it to me at [email protected]. Or if anyone here has pictures of flowers or decorations please please please forward them to me. Let me think, I would like to see pictures of the pier because I know people have cocktail hour there but it seems small to me i don't know. Also, pictures of the ballroom if you can I know you are not having your reception there but I am and would appreciate it so much

I got this email today from Jenny. From what I understand we can choose which one we want but I guess they work directly with tropical pictures and would rather you choose them. But either way HDC is good to use! yay!! Dear Noami: Im sorry for the delay. Now we have the authorizations and you can arrange the photographer of your choose for your special day.(tropical pictures, HDC). That was a misunderstanding, but now every things are fine.

Thats weird because when I called oiginally they said they wouldnt allow outside wedding photographers and then dana got that other email. I dont know im confused and if HDC had to give a list then something doesnt seem right to me. Does anyone else feel this way.

Omg two weeks that is so close! I am excited for you hopefully you come to check on us once ur a Mrs ...i was told I would get a response this afternoon and I am still waiting. I doubt it will come for days. I feel like I will have to save a couple thousand on the side just in case they want to spring some extra charges on me ugh

ugh! I emailed Tiara on Saturday I think it was and I have not heard from her about whether I am on the list, which I should be. Everyone is getting an email but me and I am getting frustrated. At times, I get mad because it takes her really long to answer me and other brides get answers quickly. So annoying! I know that she has other weddings and such but it is a quick question. I guess I will have to play the waiting game with her.

When did she email you? I didn't get any emails from her. Or did you email her to confirm and she emailed back. I really hope they honor the contract because this is ridiculous!

OMG ladies!! Just got an email from Arnaud saying effective today Dreams is not allowing outside photographers!! He needs to know by today if ur gona book or thats it. And if u booked no need to worry bc they will honor the contract...so pissed!!!

Thanks for the info! And ur right the rest of the week people can still enjoy the sun and I want to be comfortable so thats y would rather do it in the ballroom..im sure people will be happr or complain either way lol

Thanks ladies for the compliments on the invitations. I am excited to see it and will definitely post pics once they are done...I have a question I don't know if anyone has done it but have any of the brides to be here or Mrs. used the ballroom for their reception? This is what I am doing as I want it inside but I don't think anyone has used it on here. Any help will be great. Just want to know how they are and if the ac works and all that good stuff..thanks a bunches!

Ladies I am very excited!! just got some samples of what my invitation will look it from a girl I am working with in the Dominican Republic. I previously posted a pic of what I wanted my invitations to be based on which is this one : So I got an email yesterday from the girl I am working with and she started this one: Of course it is not done yet but I am sooo excited to see the finished product She works in the Dominican Republic and is starting off her business and I believe I am her second customer for a wedding. She is very nice and great to work with. July 2012 seems so far away!!! Cant wait for my wedding!!

Yay so happy you love them! Did they come wrapped and flat or do they come already ready to walk down the isle? Idk if you know what I mean lol
