  1. What DJ did you book bryteyedbride? We are using DJ Doremixx and they want us to Western Union them the deposit, which makes me really nervous!!
  2. I confirmed the outside vendor fee with my TA today and she said it was $500!
  3. I am using an outside DJ - DJ Dorremixx. This company is approved by Azul but there is a $500 outside vendor fee. I got them approved first then signed the contract with them.
  4. I asked my WC about using a DJ other than the one Lomas provided and she said it would be a $500 outside vendor fee for the DJ Which actually is STILL cheaper if we use another DJ!
  5. Does anyone have any ideas and/or pictures of centerpieces? I'm having a hard time thinking of something that won't break getting down there or be a problem if it's windy.
  6. I contacted DJ Doremixx and it's $800 plus the $500 outside vendor fee and they will play for 5 hours. So that's definitely cheaper than the Lomas DJ!
  7. The same thing happened to me! I asked for Zavas Plaza months in advance and then not by choice we had to go through several wc and then all of the sudden it was already booked. I was beyond livid and they ended up giving us a $300 credit towards our photography package. We went with our second choice and that is Palapa Yoga. It might be a little small for 45 people but we have no choice but to make it work. I have to keep reminding myself that I will be at the beach and no matter what happens it's going to be gorgeous!
  8. I also was curious if anyone has heard anything about the Lomas DJs. I'm having about 45 people at my wedding and don't want to deal with the stress of an IPOD and planning out everysong for the reception. Is everyone just using an IPOD?
  9. Thanks Chapa! Your pictures are great. I have to remind myself not to worry because the resort is beautiful and we're going to be at the beach!!! No matter what little things go wrong, it's still going to be gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your pictures
  10. Hey Lyndsey! Thanks for the information, I was getting worried! I think it looks pretty small for 50 people but I guess we'll just have to make it work at this point. We were thinking about getting a DJ and the WC said he would be on one side of the palapa and then the tables would be on the other side. The food would be on the palapa and then cleared away for the dance floor. We're also doing a welcome party but having that poolside with the high cocktail tables. When is your wedding? Do you have pictures you could share with me? My email is [email protected]. Thanks!
  11. Hey Ladies! I'm getting married at AS June 25, 2011 and I'm new to all of this! I have 50 guests right now and we're getting married on the beach. I wanted Zavas for my reception but it's already booked! We had trouble with our original WC and she never submitted our request so we lost Zavas and I'm really upset. Has anyone heard of anything about Palapas Yoga? My new WC assurred me that it's big enough for 50 people. Any advice you could provide would be appreciated! Thanks, Kristin
