Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and am clueless and a little nervous to start planning. My fiance and I want to get married October 14th 2011 and we are looking at the Barcelo Maya Palace or Bahia Principe Coba/Akumal/Tulum. I find the package info vague and un-informative. We have not committed to anything yet but apparently coordinators won't get back to you until you do? My concerns: Location of ceremony: apparently it is not guaranteed you will get beach side? This scares me as that is what I want! Photographer: I want to hire outside the resort but I have heard this poses a large problem! Reception: How does the cost work, is it per person (with a minimum charge) all it says is a minimum usually of 15-20, what if there were 30 or 40? Does the cost jump then? Any info regarding these locations would be helpful... I am sooo nervous to commit to a DW! I think its what we want but not if the cost is more than getting married at home with a larger reception.
