  1. Does anyone know what would be the coolest (weather wise) time of the day to get married - also thinking of photos - don't want it to be too hot. My fiance has a problem with the heat. I love it........
  2. So apparently there is a store on the premises you can purchase bottles of liquor - that is what I'm going to do for the gazebo as there are only a few of us. Also, does anyone know if there is any kind of centrepiece on the tables in the restaurant for the dinner? Thanks
  3. Does anyone know how dark it is at the gazebo in the evening? Are there lights or are we supposed to bring our own? Does anyone know if there are any stores on the premises that sell liquor? I want to bring my own instead of paying 30.00 per person
  4. Did you try Air Canada? That is who we are using - we are travelling in May.
  5. It is still only 2 hours for the gazebo regardless of dj. I have not asked for a quote on the liquor because I don't know what I should ask for. There are only 19 of us and a few don't even drink. When is your wedding date?
  6. This is crazzzzzzzzzy......... We should all be getting the same answers. Anyone else renting the gazebo with their own music and liquor? I'm so confused now. I understood that since they have to set up the speaker system for the ceremony they simply leave it for the evening. I asked her about our own liquor and she said we could get our own from them. Then I asked her again just in case and she said no. So I sent her another email back and she said ok and to give her a list of what we wanted so that she could find out the prices for me as they had to be ordered from elsewhere????
  7. the minister fees are only $200.00 not $400.00 like the 2011 package. That is such a big difference. Is it really $400.00 because I remember seeing $200.00 last summer? Anyone?
  8. Could you please copy and paste the wedding packages as some of us cannot open the files. Thanks,
  9. Well, I was given a quote of $500.00 for the gazebo with d.j. I asked if we could bring our own music and buy booze from them without the bar and she said yes - it would be $250.00. This is what she said - You may bring your own drink and music at the beach gazebo. The location will still attract a cost of US 250. I was simply thinking of bringing my ipod docking station. However, I asked her last week how much the bottles were to purchase and now she says $15.00 a person per hour after she had confirmed we could buy and make our own drinks??? I found this in the forum from another bride - You can rent out the gazebo without the DJ for $250, just have to get the sound system set up seperatly (although I'm not sure what that means..) On another note, I confirmed with Beverly that you are able to purchase bottles of liquor for our reception in the beach gazebo and therefore would not need a bartender. She didnt say how much each bottle cost, but it has to be less then a bartender!! I would deff say Vodka and Rum and some beer...youll need some mixes too. I might ask if they can set up a table so its a little more forma. I know when I went to cuba we payed the one bartender we got to know and he gave us full bottles and mixes for like $10...looks like we all need to charm some bartenders, lol had been inquiring about the DJ services to determine if we wanted to use the DJ or save the $250 and just do it ourselves...I asked what kind of music the DJ had and such and if we were to provide a song list or whatever. She said that we should bring CDs of all the songs that we want and he would just play them. Well...If we are going to do that...what is the stinking point of paying some guy $250 to push a play button!?!? How does it work for the gazebo reception if we just buy alcohol from the resort instead of paying the $15p/p/hr for a bar to be set up? The alcohol can be purchased from the resort, however the cost of USD15.00 pp per hour, comes with the service of your own bar tender. The cost will then be applied separately so i;m asking Chandlyn to clarify this - I don't fully understand it. She isn't really giving me the cost of the bottles yet but I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper than $30.00 a person.

  12. You can rent the gazebo without the d.j. and bring your own music. You can buy the bottles and mixers there. To rent the gazebo is $250.00 so you save $250.00.

  15. You can get married earlier ifyou want. I'm getting married at 11:00 a.m. I didn't realize there were 2 dinner sittings. what are the times? Thanks
  16. Does anyone in the Toronto Etobicoke Mississauga area know where I can buy tapered cork #7 for my message in a bottle invites? I am going to use the brava beer bottles - labels come off pretty easy. Also, where can I buy boxes inexpensive to put these bottles in to give to my guests. I'm thinking of using them for my shower. They will be hand delivered. Also, anyone with any ideas for bridal shower beach theme and favours for the guests? Thanks everyone................
  17. I can't find the sand frame on the umbra website. Which Chapters did you see it at? Do you use this frame at the actual ceremony or do you put this together at a later date? Thanks d
  18. Did you find out if you can bring your own liquor and mixes to the gazebo? Also, wasn't your bouquet included in the free package?
  19. Apparently you dont need a long form birth certificate if you get someone to notarize your actual birth certificate. Much easier.
  20. Romantic Ornamental decoration of the wedding site ( location assigned after arrival) Does anyone know what this is? Thanks
