  1. I get the nickel and diming over certain things. What I've always had a hard time grasping is how they could charge us so much for food and alcohol at an ALL INCLUSIVE resort. I understand we would need to pay for the waiters and bartenders, and maybe some set up charges. But why am I paying $66pp for food and $13pp per hour for alcohol? Shouldn't that already be included in the guests' stay? We went in with a $10-12K budget, and I'm over $20K right now. Wedding is at the end of August, so at this point there's nothing I can do about the cost. I just pray we don't get any rain as I already know its going to be hot as hell, lol.
  2. Things will add up quickly. After adding this and that, I'm over budget by a good $8K. That's the one bad thing about planning with the Barcelo. It seems like we're nickel and dimed for everything, even things you'd think were just included at an expensive all inclusive resort. But I agree that 2 hrs is not long enough. Our package includes 3 hours, plus we're doing a cocktail hour on top of that.

  4. Yeah, I'm booked for August 27th, 2011, and my budget is right around $15K. But that includes everything, and I'm expecting around 50 people. Just booked the corner suite with the wrap around balcony, so we're very excited.
  5. I've been having trouble getting the buffet/grill station options from the Moon Palace. They did sent me the plated menus, but since we plan on having and outdoor reception and the wedding details say that plated menus are for indoor only, I kind of need to see the buffet options. Â If anyone has that and can share, please let me know. And thanks in advance...
  6. I'm thinking of having my ceremony at the Tucan Gazebo, and my cocktail hour/reception at the Tucan Terrace & Garden like you. Could you send me pictures from your event so I can see how it was set up? Â
