  1. Thanks but the dates are booked for our wedding. We are actually going down to St Thomas this week for a few days to check out a few things.
  2. Hi, We have been looking at a few places, and trying to cover everything. We are on a budget. We have contacted a few places (Havana Blue, Bolongo) and got prices. We also liked Bluemoon Cafe, but they aren't sure they will still be operating there come next June. We are likely going to have about 24 guests. Havana Blue and Bolongo seem to be priced about the same, but you get more food at Bolongo. Havana Blue is a much nicer place. So we can decide between those two for now. Each also has a 20% tax/service charge. Does anyone know if we could rent a smaller villa (maybe 2-4 bedrooms), and would allow us to have a party for 26 people there? We could then cater in food and get our own drinks (Wines/Champagne seem to have a 2x markup at Havana and Bolongo). Thanks
  3. Talking to a few places, it looks like for parties under probably about 50, we are better off doing consumption based over open bar. I'm thinking of doing Bolongo, but some of these places are so hard to get in touch with. I heard a lot about island vendors and how it's very hard to contact them. I'll take a look at Roberts American Grille as well.
  4. We actually havent figured out a place yet. We have 7 months to go, and it seems that just about every place has crazy prices. We have checked prices from Oceana, Craig + Sallys (They arent bad, just dont have much room), Herve, Bolongo Bay restaurants. We really like Blue Moon Cafe as they had pretty good prices, but they arent sure if the hotel will renew their contract, which ends end of May..right before our wedding. Need to try to find a place that isnt going to charge $50/person for open bar for 4 hours. Only Blue Moon cafe so far has had good rates on open bar.
  5. We actually changed our minds and have been talking to Janelle as well. She seems great so far. Likely going to book very soon with her.
  6. We are leaning toward Angela. Has anyone had any issues with her or used her recently ?
  7. Hi, We are planning to get married in St Thomas in June of next year. After doing some researching in the forums here, we are interested in the following WC: Leslie from Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas Janelle from Wedding Planner St Thomas Wedding Planners St John VI Wedding Venues Planning Angela from St. Thomas Weddings, St. Thomas Wedding, St. Thomas Wedding Packages, St. Thomas Wedding Planner, US Virgin Islands Weddings, US Virgin Islands Wedding Packages. We have just begun to contact each of them for general information and prices. Does anyone have any recommendations on which of the sites/WC are better? We have gone through some of the 35 page thread and it seems that all 3 are very popular. We are interested in Magens Bay and would have about 10 guests. Thanks Anna and David
