hi LadybugJ, I am in the same boat as you. we have booked our wedding at the RD from may 30th - June 13th 2011 and are still trying to get details ironed out. I have been to the RD before and can tell you that there are two choices for your dinner reception, Cafe med and sushi samba. Cafe med is right on the beach and as ou can probably imagine they erve quite a bit of fish. Sushi Samba is more teryaki then sushi and the sushi they do have are hand rolls with no raw fish in them. My FI and i have decided for sushi samba as our reception due to it being more intimate. Cafe med is on the beach and is beautiful but a lot of people walked by the wedding reception that took place while i was down there last year. Hope that helps, Jen

Hey Panama Brides, I am hoping to get some info from any and all brides who had their wedding at the Royal Decameron. My Fiancee and I have decided to have the symbolic ceremony due to some of the requirements that Panama has to get legally married there. Our main concern is that if you have a symbolic ceremony are you able to write you vows and also because we are not getting legally married down there we are flying down the day before the wedding. We are not sure of what is going to happen the day of and how we figure that out. We have a judge to perform the ceremony but because of the short amount of time we are not sure if we will have time to figure out what we are doing. If any one has any tips please share... Hey everyone, It is pretty awesome to find other couples planning on getting married at the royal decameron. My fiancé and I are getting married there May 31st, 2011. I have been to the decameron last year and its absolutely gorgeous. I have lots of pictures if anyone would like to see them. I also have some of a wedding that was held while were there. They had it on the beach. We chose the garden for our wedding because its a little more secluded and we found that people were walking in front of the beach wedding getting in the couple's video and pictures. Also we are having our reception at the sushi samba restaurant which is also more secluded and also has a pOol right beside it. if anyone would like to see any pictures let me know and I can post some or email them! Hello everyone, My name is Jen. I am hoping to connect with other destination wedding couples. My Fiance and I have been engaged for a year and a half and are planning on getting married on May 31st, 2011 which also happens to be my parents 25th wedding anniversary! We are going to Panama to the Royal Decameron resort. I was there last September with my mom and fell in love with it!
