Sherri-I love the dress. I think the quality of the material and beading is beautiful and I didn't even notice a seam from the front and probably wouldn't have notice if you hadn't mentioned it on the back. Even with that and without the sweetheart neckline I think it look fab on you REALLY!!! I totally forgot about the first one but that one looks good too! I like the second one better though too. I think you have time to fix whatever you aren't happy about. The store where I bought my dress can get stuff done in one day they told me but they only do alterations for dresses sold from there. I would make it a priortity to call around now and tomorrow morning and see how much and who can make it work so that you LOVE it cause those are minor things and it really does look great one you. I do know how you feel cause I have three dresses and not really in LOVE with any of them. Don't get discouraged cause as my grandma always says "it will come out in the wash" Whatever the hell that means lol

I am so excited that my little blue travelling starfish has arrived and i am the first one to use it! YAY I heart him! All orders are in and it is the final stretch with not too much left to do. phewfff I can now exhale.

Joannes Blue Starfish has arrived in Canada safe and sound YAY! It left on March 29th and got here April 8th so we will need to keep that in mind for other brides having to send to the US or Canada. The journal is really cute too and I can't wait to use the little guy and write my little story. Thanks again Joanne for letting this guy go before your wedding! We are the sisters of the travelling Starfish!!!!!

Jessie, that sucks! I feel so bad for you. Try and stay positive and keep pushing Fedex. I would think the package was insured and they would have to refund you! If you end up not getting the package in time, if you have time I would just run into playa to get your guests a little something from mexico. There are plenty of shops in playa del carmen on 5th avenue. I know it is not ideal but at least you will have something for them and you can file a claim with fedex when you return. Don't stress and make sure you take your dress with you lol I am sending good vibes your way

Welcome back Tenny. Glad to hear you had a fantastic time! It is strange that brides are coming back and we are all still running around with chicken with our heads cut off! Well I know I am lol Just finished all my welcome tags, put them on the totes and packed all the stuff in the oot bags, now to try and fit them all in one suitcase so my cousin who is going the day before everyone else can bring them down so i can hand them out to everyone at check in.

Meggers, go all out girl, you only get married ONCE, well hopefully lol

I have been a bit mia since I am trying to get the little last minute things done but so far so good. I am getting super excited to get there!!!! I started packing all my wedding stuff and oh boy I already have 3 suit cases and 2 carry ons and that is JUST wedding stuff! I am flying from Canada with Air Transat and they don't have closets so overhead bin it is or an empty seat if possible!

My whole first day at the resort is booked with appointment with all the vendors, it's crazy!!!! i sent in my planning form two weeks ago. I have my hair and makeup appointment at 11:30am and my wedding is scheduled for 3:00pm. I bumped it up to have more daylight for pics.

Hanna, i hope you have found a dress by now!

Nothing yet. I hope it arrives soon. I think this is a sign that it looks like it will take more than a week to arrive in canada which is stange because I ordered some totes last thursday and got them today no problem. I hope the little guy arrives soon! I will keep you posted for sure.

I am now feeling under the weather also. I guess it was bound to be my turn! I stayed home today to relax and try and get some last minute projects done. Also organizing my suitcases. Looks like i am going to have quite a few to bring down but thank god for family as they have given me alot of their luggage space and luggage!

Tris that is a productive weekend for sure! I had one too! I went shopping with my FSIL and future niece and got her her flower girl dress and some cute flip flops and my future nephew his shirt. Forgot to take pics though. I finished laminating my bookmarks. FI and I finished cutting all of the fans for our program fan and completed 2 of 30 fans we have to do. I need to rethink the jewelry i bought because it is too modern for my original dress so that will be next weekends task.

Oh and on the E-ring thing. I am totally wearing mine the whole time. I think I am even going to wear it on my right hand until the ceremony is over!

I also don't have any crinoline under it as the one they sent me is really tight but maybe it would look a little better with that underneath. I will try that next time.

Oh Meggers, that really sucks. Crap you are having a hard week for sure and I hope things start looking up for you. I would get a back up plan though for the jewelery just to be safe and return it or sell it if you don't use it. Best of luck!

bahahaha thanks Mocha! I took close ups of the imperfections but no point posting them. It is more the side of the boob area that I am not happy with because the cups are a little too small it shows too much on the side but hopefully I can get that fixed. Either way this dress will work perfect for a TTD session. I will probably still go with my original for the ceremony and I am going to get it altered this saturday as I bailed last week. I will try and get some pics of the original altered to compare the two and get better pics of the new knockoff done up right.

Alex is actually Alejandra. She is awesome and always responds so quickly even late at night but she is off the mexico city for a family emergency so she may not be as quick in the next month or so but she is definately on top of things. We are booking a private tour with her for tulum and a cenote also just haven't confirmed the amount of people wanting to come yet. Each private van has room for 12 people and she will send you a grid with all the rates.They offer several tours and I would highly recommend her services so far based on her communication. I told her she had the best response time in mexico!!!!

Don't mind the mess in the background lol Also I need to fix the back so no overhang of fat is showing. Also I think I am going to add some better boning because the doens't give me the shape i have but looks pretty boxy. Here is what the top of the bodice was to look like

ok dress review, so it is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I LOVE the ruffles mind you they are not exactly in the right spot as requested. I asked for them to be slanted with a beading strip around the entire dress. The bodice is similar to what I wanted but was supposed to be chiffon and is more organza/taffeta and the cups are a bit too small and revealing. The boning is not strong and the folding is not the best with some stiching showing and the scattered beading was supposed to be glass beads only and there is beads and sequins. The back of the straps was supposed to have beading and be in a V but it is straight across but overall i am ok with the back. They could have put a clip where the zipper meets the corset. The corset strap is a bit flimsy also. There are a few small holes where the organza ruffels is sewn to the skirt. Length is pretty good, just a tad long but i will wear heels and that problem is fixed. Basically minor problems that can be easily fixed i think, i would want to fix the slanting a bit and the cups to cover more of my girls. here is the botched paint job i did to show them what i wanted and me in the dress. Overall it looks pretty similar. I mixed three dresses together so I guess i get why it is not perfect!  Don't  D

Wow that's a reasonable price Sherri so I guess I would need about 5sheets or so for 30 iron on logos. If anyone wants to sell their remaining sheets let me know. Pm me and I will give you my address to send them. So down to the wire on these things. I think I may have to enlist the help of my cousin to get them done. i was just going to use tags but I like the logo idea and I will just remove our names so it is not too personalized and maybe they will use them again.

Rats, just found out the first koozies won't arrive till tomorrow but I got my starfish plates for my centerpieces today and my dress so today is looking up!

Laura- thank you soooo much. It doesn't seem that difficult so I might just try it. I would need to do 30 logos. How many pages would I need and what do they costs?

Sherri-I was never completely blocked from the site just got an error message everytime I changed pages which took forever and started to worry that they were monitoring. I just called UPS and told them my situation and that I was going to refuse the delivery and the seller wasn't going to pay so it would have just ended up in their freight unclaimed area and thrown in the garbage and said that I was willing to pay for the taxes only and not the brokerage fee and they said no problem that can be done and they are supposed to ship to my work today (the first order).

For some reason I can't post the koozies but will post pics when I get them.

Laura I just ordered my bags through cheap totes and they ended us costing me with shipping 1.54 each which isn't too bad but shipping was still $22.50 for 30bags! It is so not fair that us Canadian brides get screwed everytime on shipping. Can you tell me how you did the iron on transfers without melting the bag in detail please(when you feel up to it of course). The girl I ordered from was shocked you were able to do it. I sent her a pic to prove it and show her how great the bags looked, I hope you don't mind.

So the koozies I ordered which (the first round were wrong) were sent quickly but by UPS and not USPS as requested got to my door and they wanted $60.11 in taxes and brokerage fees, I flipped out on the seller, because first he used the wrong logo, second he was supposed to send me a proof before sending and third he was supposed to send via USPS. When I first called to say where is my proof I was told that it already shipped, they sent me the proof and it was wrong, I asked to have the owner call me back and he didn't but the artwork person told me they were remaking them and i got a proper proof before those ones were to be shipped(at this time I didn't know the first ones shipped UPS) well the second order went out the same way. I left a message and he didn't call me back so the same day I opened a paypal dispute to refund me the $60 they were going to charge me when the right ones show up and he did and told me to refuse the first order. Well I couldn't just see those ones go to waste so I struck a deal with UPS to just pay the taxes of $16 for the 100 koozies that had the wrong logo but totally work so all in all I will end up with 200 koozies for 70cents each personalized, not bad! Sorry for the rant. I was so super pissed until it got resolved.

OH sherri my DRESS is already in! I can't believe it. I am so scared to see what it looks like, they made it in 7 days (i ordered on march 17th) and shipped it on March 24th or 25th and it is already here on teh 30th from CHINA. Holy crap I can't believe it. I already know I will be disappointed because they were supposed to send me pictures first and didn't and then proceeded to tell me that it won't have the slanted waist and ruffles I asked for so chances are it with have a round waist and I will look like a puffy princess gown which is exactly what I didn't want.

The first post office day after I get back is May 2nd and I could ship it out that day which would only leave 7business days to go from Toronto Canada to New Jersey. I am not sure if that would be enough time or not. Joanne what do you think? I would be willing to send it right away I would just be scrared that it wouldn't get to you in time. We could chance it and if it doesn't arrive on time you would have to ensure that you could get it to MrsRice by her date of June 11th. I will leave this one up to the owner of the starfish.
