I love it all!! Great job!

I just told them "white lilies and blue orchids" and sent a picture that sort of looked like my bouquet (mine ended up better than the picture I sent though). I'm not a big "flower person", but I like lilies, and the blue orchids matched bridesmaid's dress, so I went with that

Isn't Brian Napier the best?! After the legal ceremony, I was like, "geez...I almost wish we were getting married here so he could do the ceremony for us." I've already recommended him to some of my friends

I had cups sewn in and it was the BEST decision EVER! I have a good strapless bra from VS, but I didn't want to be fussing with a bra AT ALL during the day (especially in the heat), so I had the cups sewn in, and they made the girls look better than they do in the strapless AND it was so much more comfy!! I'd definately recommend the cups if it's an option.Originally Posted by L&C In Love

I have got some questions to ask
Did any of you wear a strapless bra or going wo wear one under your dress? If so, where did you get it. I don't wear a strapless much and if I do decide to get one I want to get a good one and one that will really perk the ladies up I was thinking of going to Victoria Secret?
Another option is to get cups sewn into the dress. Has anyone done this and liked it?

This version of Hyrule Field isn't that bad...but it's still a little too upbeat for something I would want to walk down the aisle to (imo):

Maybe you can comprimise and pick something from Zelda more like:

I'm sure you could find something from Zelda that is pretty. But I agree that "To Zanarkand" is really beautiful! It'll be hard to top.

gorgeous piece...)The problem is, my FI is possessed by the idea we will be marching down the aisle to the tune of Zelda's "Hyrule Field".
"To Zanarkand" was on our list of choices (it's so beuatiful), but we went with "Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves" from X2 because my friend walked down the aisle to To Zanarkand

My dad and I danced to Knights In White Satin by The Moody Blues. My dad loves that song, and it always reminds me of him whenever I hear it.

Walked down the aisle to a song from the Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack: Eternity: Memory of Lightwaves

Appropriate since we're both huge video game dorks and met when we were working in a video game store together.
No one even knew it was a song from a video game except us because it's such a nice piece.

Yes they were real. I ordered them for my hair for $10, and these were the "left overs" that I didn't use in my hair. I didn't even ask them to do that...the WC just took the initiative to decorate my cake with them
They were the same colour blue as my bridesmaid's dress too

Our room was GORGEOUS...but we didn't use the jacuzzi once. Another couple that came with us however, used there's quite a bit. We were just go-go-go and so tired every night, that we never really had an opportunity. Or we'd be hanging out in the hottub with our group at night if we wanted to soak. So I guess it's different with everyone.

Considering these pictures were included with our package at Dreams, I'm happy with how they turned out.

Our colours ended up being blue and green (kind of by accident). Here are the place cards I made for the tables (sorry the pics aren't the best...I took them with my iPhone):
The paper I got from Michaels. The green(s) are the same that I used for my "jackets" for my boarding pass invites, so it was all matchy matchy.
The shells, palm trees and "name shape" were all cut out using my cricut. The blue card portion was embossed using my cuttlebug.
Everything was then painstakingly glued together. Those shells were the worst because they were so little. But they turned out great and everyone loved them and took them home as "keep sakes"!!

I numbered each one (just a small handwritten number on the back) so I could match up the number to a chart and figure out who it was from and I'm SOOOOO glad I did, because I got a LOT back with no names on them, despite there being a space to write your name!
I learned from sending out invites that people are MEGA lazy, and either don't respond at all, or don't even bother to write their name on the response card!

It wasn't much, but still they never charged us or even mentioned a charge. They really nickel and dime you so can't say I'm surprised......but the fact we were recently married there and not charged I'd question it.
I was also just married at Dreams January 2011 and was never charged anything to set up all the stuff I brought...a fee was never even mentioned to me. We had brought table place cards with a "map" of the tables as to where each name was supposed to go, center pieces with fake tea lights in them, "gems" to sprinkle on the tables around the center pieces, cake topper, cake serving set, and guest favours. I would DEFINETLY be questioning this charge!! $100 or even $50 just to set out your decorations seems ridiculous!

That is actually less than Rebecca quoted. I feel a little bad about being so sneaky, but oh well!
That's what I paid when I was there. That's just their new price for it now, when they updated their price list. It's actually the same as what Rebeca quoted me: $150 for ceremony and $300 for reception. Then when they redid the pricing in the "wedding guide", its just listed as $450 for ceremony and reception - which is the same.

I seriously am freaking out!
Do not worry. Esman is AWESOME! I exchanged one email with Lousie, in December, then Esman took over emailing me (not sure why, but I'm glad he did). I got married January 12th, and everything went good! He was great to work with, and everything worked out.

I guess he's been working there a while in overall event management (conferences and whatnot) but they promoted him to WC. So, I'm sure he'll be ok since Dreams will just give him all the vendor info.
I hope!

I've been MIA from here for awhile. I was so caught up in planning/the holiday season. Now it's only 11 days until we leave! YIKES!
I have a question (that I can't seem to get a straight answer for from the wedding planner(s)):
Is there a different "day pass" and "wedding pass" that the guests that are staying elsewhere (cuz Dreams is full) can get? The wedding planner(s) just keep telling me about the wedding pass that allows them to arrive 30 min before and leave 30 min after. BUT FI's parents were in Puerto Vallarta two weeks ago and they went to Dreams and took a tour of the resort, and were told there are two different passes people can get: wedding pass and day pass.

We got champagne right after the ceremony, then at cocktail hour they had done up some green and blue cocktails (that matched our green and blue colours), and gave one to each guest. I didn't even request that - but was impressed!
