I know everyone says this, but seriously don't! It will go perfect! Ana and Pilar know exactly what they are doing. The whole point of a destination wedding is so that it is kind of laid back. So be laid back! It will go exactly how you want it to be! I would post my review but now I am busy working and putting the final touches on my home reception that is happening Saturday. Hey girls!! I just got back from the resort today and our wedding and stay was amazing!!!!! I will post a review a little later in the week but it was awesome! Everything worked out perfectly! We had a blast and our guests had a blast! To answer the photog question, he takes pictures starting in the room where you are getting ready, which is usually with the bridesmaids. Then, he moves onto the ceremony and the pictures after the ceremony takes about 30 minutes. He takes great pictures! Also, if you want more pictures than what you got in your package, you can give him more money and he will give you a disk of the pictures that you want. I sent my things fedex to the resort and now they can't find my package. Do you think it is safe to say I am never going to see it again? This if the only thing that has gone wrong for me but it is a very MAJOR thing to go wrong! I am worried I am not going to have welcome bags for anyone now! AH! OK, ladies, I am worried! I sent things down to the resort on Tuesday and it was supposed to be there today. However, when I tracked it, there was a clearance delay! Does this mean that something in the package is stopping it from going on to the resort?! I am really worried it is not going to get there! Help! I leave for my wedding in 6 days! Thanks, Jessica

Hammy, Thank you for the review! It is very helpful! The only thing I am worried about is there being enough decoration on the tables. We are not bringing anything down there and are basically using what they have! Will this be ok? I just don't want the tables and the room to look empty! We are using the bamboo room for the reception. Also, we were planning on using the ceremony video for the home reception, which is a week later. Will I have the video in time for this? How long did it take for the videographer to get you the video?

Ok, for now, this is really the last question. I have heard what the photographer and videographer for the resort is like (nothing bad) and am just confused on how the whole thing works. Do they just kind of show up on the wedding day and start shooting video and taking pictures? Do I meet with them? Do I email them and tell them what I want/need from them? Am I supposed to schedule with them and tell them when they need to be there and all that stuff? If you have used the resort photographer and videographer PLEASE let me know! I am trying to get these details worked out while I stil have a little bit of time left! Thanks! Jess

Are all the brides here having a private bar at your reception? We just don't think that we can do that but I am worried about people getting drinks. Has anyone had a private reception and did not use a private bar? 53 more days! Thanks! Jessica Phillips

Also, do you think if I came with pictures of how I want my hair done the salon there would do alright? I don't really have the money to hire an outside person and am just hoping they do an ok job! Hi ladies! So is there a restaurant we can have a rehearsal dinner and not have to pay the $22 per person? I'd like to have a space reserved but I really don't want to pay $22 per person to do this.

Also, I am going with the Divine Package. We figured we'd try to get the most out of all of this! So I'm hoping everything turns out ok! We already have 9 people booked! Yay!

I finally booked our trip for our April 16, 2011 wedding! I have a few questions. How early should I start negotiating with the wedding planners. I have seen a lot of things on here a lot of you have done and would like to do some of the same things. Also, what kind of entertainment do they have there that would be free and fun for everyone to see? Has anyone had any trouble finding enough rooms for your guests? My question is about the ballroom. I am planning on purchasing the Divine wedding package and am trying to decide on a reception area. Do I have to pay extra for one of the ballrooms and the ballroom set-up or is it included in the package?
