I wouldn't know what type its called but I'll ask my cousin.... Imagine something like pebbled looking cardstock, if that makes any sence.  

After printing on it, it looks like leather!!!

I went and took notes of EVERYTHING on the resort so I can add the info in my welcome booklets (ie: restaurants, schedule of activities, even the special names for BAR DRINKS!!)

Also get to know AS MANY MANAGERS as you can.... LOL hopefully they'll remember you when you come back for your wedding and give you TOP NOTCH service!!
If you can, also grab brochures, maps, tour info, etc that you can use to stuff your welcome bags!!! 

In terms of inspecting your ceremony site:  just try to envision your BIG day and how you'd want things.  Ask as many questions possible, ask for all your alternative options if something they show you isn't what you thought it would be, and always negotiate!!  My hotel is giving me a priviate welcome dinner for ~90-100 guests FREE!!!  *I know its an AI resort anyway, but private dinners usually require a rental fee and wait/bar staff charges, etc. 

I absolutely LOVE the way my passport invitations turned out!!  They reeeallly look like real leather passports!!!  
My invites were designed by my cousin and her husband, they have a small invitation printing/design company called ARMR designs.  

I provided them with a couple of templates that I had got from fellow BDW brides and incorporated a few other ideas.  Here it is!!

I agree.. and that's exactly what I'd want to replicate and change the top of my dress to be like this but I'm not sure if they can

this corset lining sucked everything up nicely and the waistline looked sleek.... I agree with you on the "BULK" factor too.... but nevertheless still a gorgeous gown for anyone who might be interested!!

Thanks Avens... I know a lot of the other brides preferred the ruffles too!!  *I'm soooo torn and like I said its not like I'm ending up with a horrible dress!!!  I do/will LOVE it *again*

I wanna echo those who have also had BAD experiences with promopays.ca

As other brides have posted, their website looks great and has great prices but to this day NO ONE has written back to any one of my 3-4 emails for quotes...... DO NOT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME.

Its virtually still a toss up so today I tried calling the store that has dress #1 but it was CLOSED!!  I'm still curious to know the price of the Evelyn and if there's time to order a new one or if the sample I tried on is for sale.  I think I could afford the dress ONLY IF I am able to sell the first one.

*I'll start to fish to see if anyone wants to buy it??  Any takers out there IF I were to decide to SELL it?  

BRAND NEW SIZE 8 - ALLURE

Purchased for $1180 total after taxes...... Looking for potential offers to help me decide.

If all else fails and I have no bids, then I will keep the one I own and try to alter the top part which is the thing that really bothers me most... I DO love the ruffle skirt for suuure!  It also goes well with my MOH & BM dresses too, hence what I envisioned wearing from the get-go.... and if I end up wearing this dress in the end it's still a GORGEOUS gown.

The ruffle one is MUCH more comfortable than the lace.... I'm debating between comfort or beauty?  but both are beautiful, I just seem to have lost the WOW factor for my dress.

Yes I think at this point I might not be able to afford to change dresses and I was told that it might be too late to order one from production at this point.... sooooo I think I might just have to put some personal touches to my dress to hopefully fall in love in it and feel amazing in it

So, I guess I'm sticking with my original and hopefully my seamstress can make it more of a dream dress for me.  We shall see.  I plan on tonight and tomorrow to be "wedding get stuff done" days.  I have done a ton of research but now I have to actually get stuff done.

FYI - in case you haven't been to the resort, the have old school regular cut room keys on a string and NOT room keycards

*sharing this in case it factors into what kind of room key holder/tip holder/keychain thingamagiggy you might get!  

i'm thinking of giving vertical zipper holders on carabiner clips + maybe even little LED keychain lights in my OOT bags, because the resort is really HUGE and it can be very dark at night

For those of you who have been here before, I was wondering how the hotel nightclub/disco was?  *I didn't have a chance to go when I visited with my mom..... in retrospect it would have been pretty fun(ny) if my mom and I went to the club together that maybe I should have asked her! LOL
