  1. I would like a friend to officiate our wedding. She was ordained online. I've called the county clerk (Bay County) twice to find out if an online ordination qualifies her as "any ordained or licensed clergy, notary publics, and justices of the peace" as per the information listed on the county clerk's website. Unfortunately, no one has called me back. Can anyone help? I don't want to find out in 30 years that we aren't legally married.
  2. Hi Florida Brides! We're planning a DW in the FL panhandle in August. We've reserved a private home a few blocks from the beach for the reception and plan to hold the ceremony on the beach. I've heard that we have to get the permission of the homeowner whose house is adjacent to the ceremony location. But, I don't know if renting a property within the same neighborhood is sufficient. I've also heard that all FL beaches are public and that we don't need to get permission. Do any of you have any info on this? Thanks!
  3. I just got engaged on December 17, so I'm just starting the process. Still trying to find a venue. Have it narrowed down to 3. Now freaking out about cost. so, at this point there's not a ton I can do until we know WHERE we are going. We are planning a small, intimate (immediate family only) event, so don't really need save the dates, although will want them for the AHR in Sept.
