  1. Make sure you let Carolina and anyone else involved know to have the AC turned on when your guests arrive!! When i visited last year the AC was "broken" and it was soo hot in there we stayed outside to drink. FYI!!

  2. Yes it is pretty frustrating that they don't have a system where you tell them in which restaurant you want your dinner and that is final. Is your wedding in April or May? Perhaps also because those months are the "wedding high season" it might be a bit crazier. I also asked her if we could have more than 1 dinner option for the menu and they also refused. Kitty if you like I can email you the menu that Carolina sent me, just let me know. I don't think you should have a problem with NOT getting your PRIVATE reception dinner, especially if you are paying extra for it! I think you just need to clearly tell her that you expect to have 40+ guests and that you want to do the private dinner for extra $. It seems she does not clearly get that in her response to you. Hope this helps a bit :)

  3. Hi kitty & Richarsd:

I have the email confirming that for a private reception dinner I would need 40 or more guests. Now I am getting confused but more brides on here have also confirmed that the private dinner is 40+ guests, not 20. I write to Carolina in Spanish mostly and she gets back to me fairly quickly and she confirmed that it is indeed 40 or more guests for private reception and 20+ for the beach party.

  4. Thank you for your review Chicago! I am so sorry to hear the issues you had with the rooms and the reception staff, WOW! I stayed at the Punta Cana section for one night and I was not that impressed either. We were moved to the Bavaro section in a Romance suite and it was lovely. Were you able to get in touch with the resort manager or do you plan to let management know of your experience? Would love to see your pictures when you have them..and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

  5. Yay Sheila!! So exciting!!! Have the best time ever and can't wait to hear all the details when you are back and soooo relaxed :)

We were 40 people and had a blast. Everything about the resort including the on site wedding Coordinator Carolina were absolutely fantastic. It's an exciting time ladies... enjoy it!

  6. Hi ladies,

I have a few questions and am curious to know if you have any feedback?

Has anyone asked Carolina for quotes for centerpieces? I am comparing costs with bringing my own or renting them out at the resort.

Are you all mostly recording the ceremony music for your walk down the aisle for example, or relying on the resort to provide that? I just started to think about the songs I want to walk to as well as the rest of the bridal party. So many small details! Does the resort provide a cd player to play the ceremony music outside?

  7. Hi chule,

Yes I know with my thick hair I will definitely need an updo! Are you renting the centerpieces and decor from the hotel? If so, how much are they charging for that? For makeup I also am unsure about what to do, I may end up using a skilled guest or bridesmaid who is good with makeup or taking a chance with the spa and taking pictures of the look I want and bringing my own makeup just in case. I have not sent out the official invitations yet, they should be going out by early January! Most of my family is really excited about going, they look at it as not only a wedding but a vacation for themselves, so for the family and friends that have told me they are planning on going, I would say I have about 25 guests! How about you??

     Hi Karen and everyone!

I met my fiance on Match.com as well! At the time I was like "what the heck am I doing, he better not be crazy" but when I met him I knew he was someone special, we talked for hours and he is the most loving, smart, funny, sweet, cutest guy I have ever met :) I think alot of it is timing and luck, and I guess someone was looking out for me that moment I met him! :) 2.5 years later he proposed. If it was not for match I most likely would have never met him!

I honestly think that once you get a

taste of the ROYAL, you will not want to go anywhere elsewoot.gif

    Hi Chule:

Yes I visited the GP this August and stayed in a Romance suite in Bavaro, sooooooooooo nice!! I saw the Royal section and it definitely looks sooo relaxing and luxurious :) Yay I get more and more excited every day! What other planning do you still need to do? I have to decide all the details like decorations, my hair, makeup, dress accessories, etc.

beachbum, in which restaurant did you have your reception dinner? I am still deciding between doing a private dinner or semi-private (not paying the $1000) and then doing the beach party afterward :)

    Hi Chell,

Not sure if Carolina mentioned but does this only apply to Legal ceremonies? Did she mention if the symbolic packages have gone up in price too?
