And another wedding photo blog.... this one has some BEAUTIFUL sunset shots @ the top of the sky roof thing... this is giving me some great ideas for photos. And on the positive, looks like she used the free wedding package and it doesnt look that bad. Thisisit- thanks for the photo link!!! I have yet to see anything else that shows the site so well!!! Any guesses as to whether or not she had a wedding package, and if so, which one? I didnt recognize the colors...

Thanks to everyone for the info! Thisisit-- you said you had a friend who recently had a Beach Palace wedding... any way you can talk her into sharing any photos or insights? Â I'm also curious who all is getting a private reception--- is it worth it seeing as everything they would be serving would be essentially things that all my guests could get for "free" anyway since its all inclusive.. or does it seem too informal to let people just all meet up at a less busy bar? I dont expect to have more than 20-25 people. We'll probably invite 50-60 and I expect about half to show up. Has anyone seen the set ups they do for the private reception for less than 30 people? No decorations, I presume, which is fine... Â Last question (for now) -- also curious about people's opinions on the soloists or mariachi bands. I was thinking of getting the harpist for the ceremony --- anyone heard anything about which sounds better-- harpist or mariachi band?

I'm with you Skadow... seems like $2300 doesnt really get you THAT much more (of things that are important to me anyway...) and I think I would rather spend that money on a better photographer and TTD session.

I was trying to figure out which package they got... I seem to remember thos crystals hanging down as the diamond collection.

Phew! The free package is still nice looking! Â Katrina- which resort are you getting married @ and where are the pix from? Moon Palace? Where are you planning to get the flowers from? Or will you be bringing silk ... I dont think its really gonna bother me much to just throw some chair bows on there that match my colors of lime, magenta and fuschia. I'm really trying to go low on the decorations and splurge for an outside Mexican photographer... ohhh how beautiful Del Sol pix are, but there is NO WAY I can spend that much.

Has anyone used the Palace resorts free wedding package and liked it? I dont really like any of their colors, so I was thinking of buying my own chair bows in my colors and maybe buying a few flowers there.... but maybe not... Is the free wedding package super plain? I'm thinking of Beach Palace, but I know that Moon Palace seems to be the more popular.

I definitely must be a newbie because I dont even know what the "miami coordinator" is? Can someone enlighten me? I am really so unsure about whether to get the emerald package or go with the complimentary package... I really want as little hassle as possible, but I just dont know if $2375 would be worth what you get...doesnt seem like THAT much of a better deal... was thinking it might make more sense to get complimentary and bring ribbons, fabric for chairs, buy an upgraded bouquet, etc... Sorry to ramble... if anyone has any help on any of my ramblings, thanks!!!

Mrs D... you said you got married @ one resort and then went to LeBlanc... we were thinking of doing that as well... do you think it ends up costing a ton more than booking the trip as a vacation package off of say bing.com or orbitz.com? I dont even know if its possible to do that with an internet travel engine... but may look into it. Thanks for any tips!

I am SO in the beginning stages of planning and have not sent out any save the dates, but everyone we have told hasn't been overly thrilled with the idea of Mexico for our wedding. Everyone says "what about (blank)" insert, jamaica, cabo, etc... Frankly, its the cheapest, nicest place we can afford for ourselves and the cheapest place we could find for our friends/family to be able to join us. We'd be fine taking the approx $12k we're spending on the wedding and eloping in Hawaii, but our families complained too much about not seeing the wedding. I think I would really enjoy it much more if it was just the FI and me and maybe a couple of friends, but its impossible to please everyone and since its your wedding, I think you should be the one whose opinion matters the most!

There doesnt seem to be many pictures/reviews/info on Beach Palace here... if anyone can steer me in the right direction, much appreciated!!! Thanks!
