  1. Hello fellow newbie! I focused on time when we selecting Jamaica. Our time frame for our wedding is tight so I didn't want to spend more than 6 or 7 hours flying. I also wanted a resort that was relatively close to the airport so our guests wouldn't have to spend a bunch of additional time traveling to the resort. Also certain islands/resorts require different residency requirements in order to get married. There are some places that require you to be there for 72 hours not counting weekends before you can be married. That would have been too much time for us to be there before the ceremony. We also looked at amenities at the resorts and what activities are offered. Oh, yeah and price too! Good luck making your decision!
  2. Hi everyone! I'm Lea. My fiance Mike and I are getting married on Jan 2, 2011 at Sandals Royal Caribbean. We're transferring to Couples Negril the day after for our honeymoon. We just got engaged a few weeks ago but I'm already in full planning mode and have our accommodations and ceremony already booked. I'm looking forward to posting with everyone and learning all sorts of great wedding ideas!
