February, 2011 brides!

I am getting married in February 2011 in D.R. but have not yet decided on exact resort. I am thinking about the Riu Bachata in Puerto Plata, but still doing research on it. Any info from other brides would be appreciated. I have never wanted to plan a wedding so I want simple and easy. The only thing I have done is my dress is bought. Save the dates should be going out soon as soon as we figure out exactly where we are going. Thankfully I have a friend who is a graphic designer who is taking care of the save the dates and invitations. So much to do before February! -
I am getting married in February 2011 and am thinking of booking the Riu Batacha in Puerto Plata. I have been doing research on a ton of resorts and there is always good reivews and bad so I am not sure how to choose other than to pick the one I am personally drawn to. What makes things more difficult is that I wanted to elope, but my FI wants family there. I just find it all so overwhleming.

My name is Jessica and I am from a smll town called Lucan which is about 20mins north of London, ON. I have been engaged just over a week and have no desire to plan a wedding. Our wedding is probably going to be in late February 2011 and we have yet to decide on a destination. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
