What made you choose this destination? We stayed at Sercrets Silver Sands last year and wanted the same resort but family friendly for the kids in our party and a nicer beach.

What made you choose this date? Our anniv of meeting/dating is 8/1/02 and we wanted that day but its a Sunday and we had to choose the day before.

Have you decided on your wedding colors? Aqua and Fuschia

What is something unique about your wedding? Uhhmm... its alot of DIY things...

Tell us anything else about yourself and/or your wedding: we are really excited and in a great place at this time of our lives. we are very excited about our future! and we hope all of our guests enjoy their time at the resort and never forget about our wedding day!

His Band $120.00 (I work at a jewelery store so I get a great price Thank God!)

Dreams Love Pkg & Civil Costs - $2395 (20 ppl)

7Night stay & Round Trip All Inclusive - $3308.68

Sound Equip Rental & Outside Photog - $1180.00

Invites (DIY), OOT swag & bags, decor from Michaels - $500.00 (THX TO GR8 COUPONS)

MISC - $500.00 (bikini's, clothes, extra supplies)

TOTAL - $9084.68 (so far...)

I hope to stay under 10k.

I paid only because its family, (niece and sister) and its a DW so I feel its the least I can do.

that would bother me. I would appreciate her asking me first. and, I would worry about them even sitting at my wedding when I dont even know them and they are "uninvited".

Im at work answering phones today for some OT$$ and I've pulled the orchids off their plastic stems and Im placing them sparingly on Stretch Magic Bead & Jwlry Cord. (.5mm thick)

I'm making 10 strands with White, Pink, and Fuschia colored orchids and everyone is giving me GREAT compliments!!!

It takes me approx 10mins to make one strand. super easy.

MY BOSS FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HE CALLED AND SPOKE TO A TON OF PEOPLE AND KEPT ASKING AND WAS PERSISTENT AND (he's an Elite Mbr) FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I JUMPED AND SCREAMED AND GAVE HIM THE BIGGEST SQUISHY HUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my little family is going to Mexico!!!

It's only us four girls; my Mom, Sister, Niece, and myself. Now, my fiancee will be added. But for the most part, it's always been us four girls.

I went back with EVERYTHING, lol, did a complete return on all Wedding stuff, bought it all back with some added stuff using the coupon, hehehe.

yea, maybe she found a good deal, BUT she should have made a real hard attempt at going to your wedding! people can SAVE $$$. You have the right to be upset! This is a ONCE in a LIFETIME event for yoU!!!

My best friend says she may not go to, Im so over it.

My FI's BestMan backed out because he couldn't "afford" to go but went to the courthouse and got married (WITHOUT TELLING US!) and went to PUERTO RICO!!!!!!!!

WTF?!?!!? But he can't come to MX for his bestfriends wedding!

At this point... Its just about you and him. that's all. I know we all want our special people there to celebrate and see the moment. but, its really about the two of you.

I called their reservations desk and even spoke with a supervisor ( I was calm and kind the entire time... I am at their mercy!) but they wouldn't help me. I know its POSSIBLE because a co-worker of mine had the same problem last year with a married/maiden name incident and they changed it for her.

I talked to my boss and he is going to call for me because he is an Elite Cont. member, so hopefully he has some pull with them.

please pray for me guys.

My only second option... would be to legally change her name. The wedding is in 9wks and Idk if there will be enough time.

Here is the story:

I booked my familys (Mom, Sister, and Niece) trip through my TA.

BUT I made a mistake on my neice's name!

I assumed she had our family last name FORGETTING that she has her father's last name. (He & my sis divorced when she was a baby so it slipped my mind)

My TA can't change the ticket, called Reservations Customer Service at Continental and they say I have to take her up there with all her documents...

SECOND PROBLEM! We haven't even applied for her passport yet because her lazy father can't make time to sign the form!!!!

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I knew someone who worked for Continental who can help me explain to a supervisor that I just need to correct her last name. It sounds simple and I totally understand security since 9/11 BUT her first name and DOB are the same!!! And when she flies out, her passport WILL match her ticket if they can just help me correct it.

I CAN NOT afford to buy her a whole new ticket.

she is my only niece... it was an honest mistake.

Since our family and friends are leaving before we do (staying for honeymoon)... Is there a place in P.D.C where we can have the disposables (wedding recep favors) printed before they leave??

We see her Monday night, and Tuesday Morning we leave to paradise for our wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

WOW! I'm sure glad someone brought this up!!! I thought I was the only one who felt like this!!!!!!!!

And I was so torn because I already paid 60% to order it, and my family loved it.

And when I went to some friends for their opinion (DONT EVER DO BTW!) I got a lot of negative feed back like, "It really isnt a destination/beach dress" EVENTHOUGH it's from Mori Lee's VOYAGE (destination) line!!!

Whatev's. Its still not here, and I've even forgotten what it looks like. The pic online doesnt really help. I SURE HOPE I fall in love with it again when I try it on in MY size.
