  1. Hello, Â My name is Martha and I am having my wedding in August 2011 at the Renaissance Hotel in Aruba. I finally decided on my wedding favors. I would like to give each guest a Christmas ornament that they can hang on their Christmas tree every year and think if the great time they had in Aruba. I have searched several websites and even asked my wedding coordinator for help, but no one seems to know where I can get these. I was in Aruba last September and me and my FI bought an ornament. Of course the souveneir shops don't have websites! Â Anyone with any ideas or suggestions?? Please help!! Â Thanks.
  2. Does anyone know where I can get Aruba Christmas ornaments??? I can't seem to find any online!! Â HELP!

I am planning my wedding at the Renaissance for August 2011 and I had a couple of questions that hopefully you can help me with. Did you go through Annie to book your rooms or how did you guests arrange the rooms and flights? How soon before the weeding did your guests book their vacation? Do you have any good tips for wedding planning? Thank you for all your help in advance!! Martha

Also look for my reviews that will be posted the end of this month. I am certified by the Aruba Tourism Authority as an ACE or Aruba Certified Expert. Visiting the island and getting firsthand knowkedge is part of the requirments to keep this certification. I will be staying at the Hyatt Regency on Palm Beach for the first 2 nights and then moving to the low rise section to Manchebo Beach Resort. In addition to touring those 2 resorts I have an appointment with Juney at Renaissance Aruba to tour the resort and private island particularly looking at wedding ceremony and reception locations. I will be checking out Bucuti Beach Resort and their adults only Tara Suites too! In addition to reviews of the resorts, I have a few other items on our agenda which I will review including, renting a car on the island (makes sense for me because I have appointments and places to be but is not necessary for everyone), Jolly Pirates Snorkel Tour (may be perfect for a group excursion, I'll let you know), and many restaurant reviews! I think we have plans for one of the churascarias either Amazonia or Texas de Brazil, Moomba Beach for happy hour and the Sunday BBQ, and possibly Madame Janettes. I have also planned a surprise birthday gift for my husband. He will be touring the island on a Harley! This might make a great wedding gift to your groom if he is into riding. Hey Maureen! Cant wait for your reviews!! Since your touring the Renaissance private island do you think its possible for you to take some pics of the dance floor/reception area? Also the ambassador suite..since there is no actual "honeymoon suite". Thanks so much!! Hope your husband is surprised!!

We are going to Aruba next month to plan everything- but I would love to contact the Renaissance first to set up an appointment. We are planning on getting married in a Catholic church. I've gotten conflicting information about Aruban laws on non-citizens getting married in a church etc. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks so much in advance!!!!!! Goodluck. We are thinking of the Rennaisance too! We were there in September and loved it. Has anyone gotten married there? If so, would anyone be willing to share there pcitures? Thanks in advance for your help!!
