  1. I used a travel agent and set up a group rate. My guest booked with my agent. We still qualified for the promotions. We had over 140 nights booked. Quote:Originally Posted by katrina305 Ktrant  Did you have all your guests book through the hotel in order to meet the room nights?
  2. Thank you! Â Yes, I purchased the flowers instead of having the fake orchid thing which is shown on the last photo. I paid $80 for each vase. I also had these vases on all of my tables at the reception. They carried these two over from ceremony and used them as decor for reception to. I'll post some reception pics too later today. Â
  3. The Coba is on the Cove side (family side) Â I rode the carriage and it dropped me off by the stairs. Which I enjoyed because I had a minute to just chat with my father before walking down the isle. It's not far at all. I'll look through my pics and post so that you can see. It was less than a minute from the Gazebo. My guests all stood up and watched my father lift me off the carriage and watched us walk down from the stairs to the isle. Â
  4. Thank you! We had 89 guests so we had our reception at the Solarium Mundaca which is located directly above the Mundaca restaurant. Â
  5. Thank you! It was such an amazing day! Yes, they have a red and tan. I didn't care for the red. Â
  6. The last picture is also the Coba Gazebo. The front of the Gazebo has two white rails which is then followed by glass. Â
  7. The middle picture is the Coba Gazebo (Cove Palace). It is fenced w/glass. I'm trying to attach a photo but it's not letting me for some reason.
  8. I didn't have my reception at the Cove Terrace, but it was really nice. It is attached to the resort and overlooks the ocean. The views are AMAZING! Â
  9. The number is 1-800-635-1836. Just follow the prompts and select wedding departments.

  11. I discovered that it was so much easier to just call them. They have an 800 #. I sat on the phone with Dulce for 30 minutes with my list of questions. Just a thought...
  12. Nicole, Â I just emailed you my quote from JSAV. We had DJ at our welcome dinner and our reception w/lighting and it was only $1400. Which is still pricey, but what can you do. I tried to hire an outside vendor for music but Dulce said that they wouldn't have time to show them where all the connections are and they would charge us for them to be on property. So...we paid. I have to admit...it was worth it! We danced all night long! Â Kimberly Â
  13. Our wedding was at 4, 5-6 cocktail hour (Mexican Trio played), Dinner was from 6:00-7:00ish, then speeches and cake followed (this only took about 30 minutes bc I wanted to get the party started!), then we danced from 7:30-10:30, then moved to the resort club till 2:30. Don't stress over a time schedule. The only thing that started on time was our ceremony. Everything else just followed. Â Most people do speeches after dinner. If you want to save time, you could do the speeches during dinner. Â
  14. Choose a photographer that you LOVE! You will regret not having great photos of your wedding day. I had the resort photographer and my own photographer (friend of my husbands) and I wasn't happy with either. Don't get me wrong, I had some beautiful photos but I was expecting more. I added my outside photographer to the guest list and paid the $80 (whatever it is) for him to come onto the property. I wish I would have went with the photographer I actually really wanted.
  15. Nicole, the best way to verify how many weddings are actually taking place is through your wedding coordinator. This resort is huge! You have the Spa Palace side to choose from also, as long as no children are present. Â I'm going to go through some of my photographers pictures and see if I can find any of your locations. I'll email them to you. Â Congrats on reaching the 75 nights. Throw as many parties as you can!! We added the welcome dinner at the last minute and it was a great start to our wedding weekend! Â ~kim Â
  16. Send me your email and I'll send you a link to view some photos. Â Congrats!
