  4. Sammysgirl- what are the current requirements for # of people you have to have to book the restaurants? Any idea how much extra it is per person if you don't meet the # requirements?
  5. Sammysgirl- that's so exciting! jrb- I chose 5pm for my ceremony, just in case the reception is not until the 8:45 seating. I figure it would be one less hour to try to figure out what to do with everyone...
  6. Samira- your ring is gorgeous! Congrats jrb on your confirmed date.
  7. Welcome back Samira and congrats on passing your exam! My name is Virginia- a new RPRM bride. I absolutely love your wedding invitations. In fact, I just emailed Kate at custompaperworks to request some information on them! They are amazing!
  8. That's so neat that your wedding planning is being profiled! Thank you for the feedback. Our DW TA has not exactly been helpful or responsive, so we are going to request changing to Camille...
  9. KimmyG- thank you for the reassurance. You are exactly right, I totally want people to start booking but I think they are giong to panic when they see the prices! Anyhow, I'll try to remain calm. Can anyone tell me when is a good time to send out STDs for a destination wedding? Mine are being delivered to my house today!!!

Ciao all! Adirenne- the $318 quote is per night, so it would end up being $159 per person per night (without flight like you). Where did you obtain your quote from- Riu directly or destinationweddings? I am also using destinationweddings.com to book my travel but my specialist keeps telling me that rates are not available for 2011 yet- so I emailed Riu myself, which is where I got the two separate quotes from...I'm very interested to hear where your quote came from! Any idea if you save even more money by signing the group agreement? Oh, and who are you working with at destinationweddings? Debbie Ryan is who we are working with. Also, I love your Save the dates and your flower/color ideas! When are you planning to send out the STDs? I was thinking about a year in advance- think that's too soon?
  11. KimmyG- I just realized you're getting married April 9, 2010. I have a confirmation date of April 9, 2011, but I am starting to freak out a little. I emailed the wedding group at Riu for a rate quote and I finally heard back yesterday. The quote was for $318 for a double- very doable in my mind. Then, a few hours later (late last night), I received another quote from a different sales person at Riu, same dates, but for $468 for a double! That's a bit different than $318/night...so I emailed them both back asking for the true quote- keeping my fingers crossed that the $318 is correct! Has anyone here received conflicting info like this in the past? Anyone have any idea what is reasonable/what's not? Thank you all so much for your insight and support on this thread! It's great!
  12. I wish I had the time to do an exercise program like P90x! But I guess I should make the time if I want to look my best for the big day...good thing I have some time!
  13. Yes, he's definitely adorable. That picture was when he was about 5 lbs. He's about 8 lbs now, full grown. When I got him he was smaller than a beer bottle...
  14. I love pictures! This is my little guy, Remy. He's 1/2 maltese, 1/2 yorkie. Super fun.
  15. LadyTrunck- your dog is adorable! I have a little guy just about the same size. And thanks for the photo advice...
  16. Thank you for the welcome fsaumbs and LadyTrunck. I have read all 194 pages of this thread and am very excited to be a new member! Now I need to figure out the site a little better so I can post a picture and a countdown…
  17. I've just received confirmation for my April 2011 wedding. This post was very helpful in trying to determine a location. Thank you to you all for helping me decide! It seems forever away...
