  1. I'm getting married in Panama in March 2010 in a town called Portobello on the Atlantic coast. My FI mother knows a family who owns property right on the water so we're pretty much setting up everything ourselves. No wedding planner. I just went down in Dec. to meet with the caterer and we booked a photographer. We're also going through a tour agency who is setting up transportation, tour options for guests, and hotel booking options for guests. I'll arrive a week before the wedding to get everything else in order. We already got married here in the US so we dont have to deal with the crazy tests and paperwork down there.
  2. I've been there. It's beautiful. Panama is less touristy than Costa Rica; to me that's better. March-April are tranistion months going from dry season to rainy season but I heard the dry season is suposed to last longer this year. I'm getting married in Panama in March, not at Playa Blanca though. You'll have fun.
  3. I'm getting married on March 20th, 2010. We are having buses transport the guests to the location but they want a confirmation and deposit by Feb.20th. I have sent out all the save the dates so people know that they are invited but now I have to set the RSVP for like Feb. 13th so I can gather this info for the transportation people. Is an RSVP date greater than 4 weeks before the event acceptable? I feel bad putting that pressure on people but I think that by Feb. they should know if they're comming. When did you set your RSVP date for?
  4. Hello. My name is Allison and I'm having my wedding in Panama in a town called Portobello on March 20, 2010. Things are starting to come together but I'm still working on my invitations. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's ideas and posts.
