  1. Instead of trying to "sneak" your photographer in as a friend or guest and risk being caught, some good advice might be to research the proper documents that are required for a non-Cuban citizen to "work" in Cuba. I'm sure the Cuban government is not trying to get a cut but is merely protecting it's citizens from illegal foreign workers. There are similar Immigration laws in place in most countries for this reason.
  2. I ended up having flowers delivered from Cabo San Lucas. The delivery fee was $50 and I thought this was very reasonable since they had to return to Todos Santos the next day to pick up the vases. I had a bit of an issue with the bridal bouquet but it all worked out in the end. In retrospect, I likely didn't need as many flowers as I had because my ceremony was very small but they made for some nice pictures. I had calla lillies and they were beautiful.
  3. Nice! I wish I was travelling with someone who could do my hair. We're getting married at the Hotel California. I kind of fell in love with it when we visited Todos Santos last year. Wow, your date is coming up very fast, you must be excited!
  4. Riokayak, what are you doing about your hair on your wedding day? Are you having someone do it are you just doing it yourself?
  5. Hi! So I just decided to get flowers in Cabo San Lucas. Likely I'll use the Flower cart at Untitled Page. I've been talking to Fabienne there and he's been great so far. They quoted me $50 to deliver the flowers to Todos Santos, including set up and taking them down. My guests are staying in Cabo and I was going to get my sister to pick them up using the transportation service the day of the ceremony but I just thought I would have enough to do/worry about on that day so likely I'll just get them delivered. I hope this helps! Nicole
  6. Hey Jenn, Have you/would you consider something like this? LatschStudios (click on pinups) Just a thought! Nicole
  7. Thanks so much for trying. I really appreciate it. I think I'll have to get flowers from Cabo San Lucas because I can't find any florists in Todos Santos either!
  8. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I just bring flowers with me from Cabo San Lucas? Thanks!
  9. Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a florist in or near Todos Santos, Mexico. I plan to get married at a very small ceremony in Todos Santos in March and will be doing most of the decorating myself. I would rather get my bouquet and centerpieces/decorative flowers in Todos Santos if this option is available. Thanks! Nicole

    Hi!

Thanks again everyone! Yes, I believe that doing the legalities at home will be much easier. I do want to relax and enjoy the days leading up to the ceremony instead of worrying about blood tests, birth certificates, etc. My photographer is officially booked and my dress is awesome! I'm starting to get excited!

    Hi!

My name is Nicole and I'm from Manitoba, Canada. I will be getting married in March, 2010 in Todos Santos, Mexico. Well actually, we will be having a commitment ceremony in March as we will be legally married before we leave! I look forward to reading a lot of helpful information and asking plenty of questions on the forum!
