We toyed with giving our OOT bags before the flight, so people would have them for the trip (we put some snacks in them). But because we have hand sanitizers, tylenol, etc, we opted to just put everything into a separate suitcase and will check it with everything else.

Hey everyone, Just thought I would post a discount code that I have. I went to the bridal fair here in Calgary a few weeks back, and received some goodies. One of the vendors there offers 20% off purchases through their website. I just used it yesterday to purchase our favours, so I know that it works. They sell mostly wedding star, and I'm pretty sure they ship all over Canada - and maybe the US as well. I find that Beverly is still hit or miss. I sent her another email today, and it got bounced back - I guess that her email is full? So I was in the middle of booking my hair and makeup with the spa, when Paula emailed me back to tell me that they would no longer be the ones running the spa when I was there to get married. I emailed Beverly to ask what was going on, and she just gave me Paula's info again. Seems a little disorganized... Jan's doesn't seem to organized... I had to contact them twice before they responded, so I'm not sure if I want to use them. Does anyone know of anyone that has used them? And if they are ok? Did you pick colours for your wedding at all?

No deal, I have to pay full price (I tried...). Oh well, nbd. We're doing the chair covers and ties as well - did Beverly send you examples of colours? I've emailed her, so hopefully she'll get back to me soon.

Here's mine. It has a princess cut diamond though - not sure on carats - maybe .75? It's gone back to the jeweler to have a custom wedding band made.

We are doing March 12 - 26. We are just going to stay at the same hotel I think for the two weeks. We will have our daughter with us (she will be ten months by then) so we wouldn't be able to do any adult resorts. I'm not sure what other ones that are out there that are comparable in price and rating, so I figured we'd just stay the whole two weeks there. We booked with Transat, so we didn't end up with a free wedding. We picked the Blissful package. It kind of sucks though because I think we are going to have a lot less people than we originally thought, so half the package is going to waste (it includes up to 26 people). Our cost for one week through Transat was $1837 I think? Somewhere around there. Friends of ours booked the same trip for their wedding (we are getting married at the same time) a month before us, and paid $2200 I believe. Signature dropped their price too though. We ended up hiring Misha Earle to be our photography. It was expensive, but her photos are beautiful, and she has been awesome to deal with so far. We are doing a full day shoot, along with a TTD session two days later. 2700 I believe. Cheaper than flying out our own photographer! How did you guys book your spa appointments? I'm still not dealing with Beverly directly, which is a strange situation. How about cakes and flowers? Chair ties? etc? I was wondering about decorations for the site, because I don't know if I should bring my own or not. I'm doing green/purple, and I'm wondering if they will have anything I can use... That dj/dance thing you are doing Kerri, sounds awesome. I'm jealous. So far we only have ten people booked, so something like that would just be pointless for us We should all get together and brainstorm and chat!

I felt the comments left on the thread were a little abrasive, but it's not really the mods jobs to try and treat everyone with kid gloves. It's my error in judgement for thinking so. I think I've said everything I've needed to explain myself, and hopefully I haven't said anything to be construed in a negative light. I was just trying to belong, and that's not how I felt with the responses I received.
