I agree with you echo, I was thinking the same thing and yes I am afraid the speakers wont be loud enough, especially by the ocean with the wind and waves. Something we can check when we get there. We are a small group so if it works well, I agree with you that I should go with the lagoon, it seems like a very intimate and romantic spot! What did you choose?

ouf, I still don t know about the reception, I want it to be private and special, so outside. I am leaning towards the gazebo because we could use the speakers but I think I would rather be by the lagoon. I just find its ridiculous to pay by the hour for the sound system. I have my own music (ipod and dock) . We are the only wedding on the 15th so I guess we will take a look and choose there! Just want to make the best choice!

Hi rain fall, from what I heard, you can choose the gazebo or beach for the reception and your guests just have to pay for their menu, you can choose a 18, 20 or 22 $ menu for everyone. Also from what I heard...You still have to pay this amount for a restaurant reception anyways! I will probably choose the gazebo, more special and also more private. I also will also bring my ipod with music and hope they can connect it to the gazebo speakers. I also heard (lol) that they do that for free. I am not cheap but I want to spend my money on all my 2 weeks vacation and not just that day! I will be there when you get there, the family leaves before but we stay until the 23rd! We could meet and I could answer your questions! Time goes by so fast now, I can't wait!

Thank you everyone! I found all the info I needed on this site, I think I am ready for the big day now!

I agree with you Janna, I also like the idea that you can invite the family to your room for a private <after reception!> With room service, its perfect. And yes it is worth the money when you think that we are only going to get married once...I hope! I know why your sweetheart married you again Elizabeth! Thank

oh well thank you again! I was under the impression that the honeymoon room was as big as a suite! We saw the suite then on pictures and wanted one of those for the space. Did they give you the honeymoon suite as a free upgrade and then you upgraded to the master paying extra? How much was it? I am asking because we are staying 2 weeks and sometimes the cost per day is ridiculous! very good to know, with this info Ill know what I want right away and wont have to move after! Thank you so much! Mylene

Thank you ladies, i am reassured...again! I think i ll choose the gazebo like you marryinghimagain. I saw your flowers before and they are gorgeous indeed. We were thinking about upgrading to a suite like the honeymoon suite so we could invite our guests. you just confirmed that it might be a very good idea! We ll just have to look at the extra cost for this, we are suppose to have an free room upgrade anyways from air canada, we ll see! No more questions for now, i am very happy I found this site and all you very helpful ladies to answer those questions, otherwise, I guess I still would be stressed beyond belief! Now I am just excited to go! Thank again

Thank you so much marrying him again! You answered all my questions, maybe one more, when everyone was done eating, did you stay a little in the gazebo to chat and dance? Were they still serving you drinks? Where did you all go after the reception? A question for everyone. I also got the flower choices by mail from Jacy, do we have to choose before we get there or we can wait. 2 months to go, November is going to be a long one! Thank you so much , the help here is incredible!

Bonjour Elizabeth. I see that you choose the gazebo for your reception. Did you like it? Was it windy? How much did you have to pay for the reception outside? Were you able to connect your ipod/music to their speakers? Where did you go after? I am leaning towards the gazebo or the beach for the reception but I don t know about the music, the cost and the alcool service. Thanks!

Chirorach My wedding is on a Friday too and I am lucky because we are the only wedding on that day so far... we choose 3 pm for the ceremony. We arrive the saturday before for two weeks and family arrives on wednesday before for one week. We then get a few alone days before to set things up , and a few days after to...relax! marryinghimagain Thanks for the great pics.

Ho thank you so much. We do get very nervous . I am always afraid I will forget something. I feel like I should ask more questions or plan more but you really reassured me. I also choose the gazebo for the ceremony but I told Jacy I was not sure for the rest. She responded that I could choose when I get there. We will arrive 1 week before anyways. I think I will stop the planning and just trust you, your comments and Jacy when I get there! Thanks again , your comments were priceless for me!

Thank you so much "married again!" I am very glad to hear that you had a great wedding. I can't wait. You answered all my questions. It is not clear on the papers they sent us exactly what choices we have for the reception and the cost of everything! They are asking us to choose without knowing how everything works! Youve been a great help! Thanks!

I can t believe you took the time to answer my questions when you are still over there. That s awesome! So if our guests pay for their supper (17,25 or 45 $) we can have the reception on the beach right? With no extra charge for the setting, waiters or anything? I read somewhere that it was about 700$ for a private reception! If it is just around 20 $ per person to eat on the beach , I think I will change my first choice(el patio) for the reception on the beach! It makes it more special. I just did not want to pay 700$ extra for it! Congrats again! I am glad to hear that you had a great time.

Hi ladies. I am still reading all this info on this forum. So many useful details here! I might be off topic but I can t seem t o find any information about the cost of a reception on the beach. We have the wedding in paradise package for 15 people. I think we pay 20$ per person to eat at any restaurants but : Do they charge for a setting on the beach? Thanks!
-
Wow, I can't wait to be there where I read all those great reviews! I still have a hard time choosing my reception location. I don't know how much it cost. We have the wedding in paradise. Do they charge extra for a reception at el patio? Do they charge extra for a reception on the beach? Ladies do you recommend a location? and how much was it? Thanks!

OH thanks , it sounds easier that way! I also heard that we have to make sure to get the english translation sent home from there before we leave because it is cheaper than waiting for the spanish copies here and then have them translated. I guess if I have my original long copies of my birth certificate and my passports I am all set and just need to bring everything there! Takes some stress away! Thanks so much

I also booked form a TA and we got good prizes for everything, flight and hotel all inclusive packages. We even had discount for groups and early booking and special services like seat selection and private check in... The TA had to ask Air canada the grocer for a submission. If you TA tells you you can't do it , change TA! Good luck!
