Hi! My best friend is planning on getting married in March at the Bahia Akumal. We haven't booked yet because we are waiting to hear back from someone telling us the requirements for the free ceremony. Has anyone done the free ceremony (it will be symbolic) or do you know the requirements for getting it complimentary? Thanks! Christine

Jane, Thanks for the great review. That's a wonderful idea about the fans. Did you use any special music for the ceremony? I didn't really want to pay for a steel band or anything. I'm glad it all turned out well.

Hi! I am also tryin to figure out what to do about a photographer. Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to bring a photographer? I will be there March 15-22 if anyone is interested in sharing a photographer. Has anyone been able to use Sungold recently? Thanks! Christine

Hi Everyone! I am trying to schedule my wedding for March 19, 2010 but the computer (they only have one!!!!) with the calendar is currently down so they can't book any weddings or get email. Thanks to everyone for all the great information! You have all been so much help, but I could use some help in the following areas: 1. If anyone has information on the music choices or flower choices, please email me at [email protected] They were supposed to send it to me but the computer is down. 2. If anyone is going around March 19th and would be interested in sharing a photographer, please let me know. I would also like to know if anyone has been able to use Sungold recently. 3. If anyone sees any good sales for the GP, let me know. Right after I booked, the rates went up about $600 so I still have about 10 people that would like to go if the price goes down. I called yesterday and they said their computer was down. I sent emails with read and delivery requests and didn't receive any confirmations yet. Hopefully they will be able to confirm my date soon.
