Our travel agent told us that when you book in one section (say coba) you can only eat in that section?? Does anybody know if thats true When we were there in April we ate all over the place but she said they made this rule in the summer. For those of you who are back how difficult was this for your guests to eat together? Still cant get ahold of Paloma- many many emails and have called 3 times =(

So excited for the brides to be that are leaving soon. Cant wait to read all about it. I have emailed the resort a few times now with no response =( I just want to reserve the date before going ahead and booking through a TA. Did anybody else have this problem?

Hi Amanda, Congrats on your engagement =) Im also from Vancouver and havent found an agent yet. I have called a few places to ask about booking for May 2011 but they all say the same thing ( no prices are in untill about a year in advance) If you find a great agent, please let me know. We are most likely staying at the Akumal side because of the amazing water view- and for some reason the one agent I talked to only booked Coba and Tulum? not sure why. When we were there we did see a wedding group at the piano bar, but I think they just went there without the resort setting anything up for them.

Hi ladies, Was wondering where everybody is doing the ceremony and reception(dinner) ?? We have tons of planning time but I really like to get an idea of what were doing. Since we have our second baby due in May, want to get the details worked out before Im to busy to think about it. When we were there the Tulum Gazebo looked great, but where are the other options? Were you given a list? What about pool side reception vs. picking a restaurant? Any thoughts on which way to go? If we choose a restaurant can you bring in a DJ or do you share the space with other resort guests? Also, when choosing Tulum, Akumal or Coba side (which we havent done yet) how did you make your choice? Is one better than the other? Thanks for any input =)

at the GBP we got plastic cups around the resort- but they always fill your fridge with canned beer as well =)

We have not booked yet- but was wondering if anybody has any advice on if we should book at the Tulum side or Akumal. Does the Tulum side have ocean view rooms? any pros or cons to either side?? thanks =)

looking at the Akumal side of the resort. was wondering if anybody has looked into staying here. I know its kid friendly( which is a must) but I havent seen many write ups on it?

Hi there, Planning on getting married in 2011- having a hard time picking a month for our mayan wedding. Looking for advice cause we want to to be beautiful (weather) even if we have to pay more, as we have many guests coming. Congrats to everybody and happy planning =)
