  1. Hey tweets.13, we just recently went down to do our site visit/pick vendors/do our tasting. We decided to go with the Mexican buffet for our rehearsal dinner, and do a three course dinner for the reception (which I guess most people do). My opinion is that even though there are many very ambitious things on the menus, the best options are the Caribbean, Mexican, and American dishes -- from what I tasted, the pastas and the Asian options aren't quite as good.
  2. Hi ladies, I just joined BDW, getting married at Ceiba del Mar in May! We just got back from our site visit, and I did a hair and makeup trial with Melissa V. Parry on Saturday, who was recommended by our coordinators (Tropical Wedding Experts). She was fabulous -- very professional, detailed, and patient. And (most importantly) I really loved the way I looked! So if you are still searching, I'd definitely check her out www.cancunhairandmakeup.com
  3. Hi everyone! I just joined BDW, getting married at Ceiba del Mar in May! I figured it was time to stop free-riding off of everyone's advice and join the conversation We are trying to decide about a cake right now too -- we were thinking of using an outside vendor, but Ceiba charges $5 per guest for serving it, so it might just make sense to go with them...Has anyone tasted their cake?
