  1. Hey ladies! Its been a while... but its GREAT to see all the new brides I was wondering.. does anyone know how much they plan on tipping Ana? Mely
  2. Just got back from my site visit and while I was there I visited the church in Puerto Morelos. Its called Iglesia de San Jose (San Jose Church). It is a small authentic church in the town square across from the ocean. The view to the ocean is blocked by trees, but you can hear the waves and smell the ocean I thought it was absolutely beautiful and the Padre Mario couldn't have been nicer. So now I can put my mind at ease and concentrate on the rest of the planning. Btw... they are in process of building another church in Puerto Morelos, which will be called Iglesia de la Virgen de Guadalupe (should be done by January)... also looks very nice
  3. Thanks everyone! I'm going to start my research right now. Will keep you all posted
  4. Hey Karla. I'm having the same issue My wedding is on a Saturday and on top of that the Xcaret Church is too far from our resort. Does anyone know of a different church near Puerto Morelos?

Thanks Ashley! That would be great! Xcaret chapel is in Playa de Carmen?? How did you contact the priest/church there? Keep me posted with the transportation arrangements
  8. I don't know if i'm going crasssy, but I can't find the main thread there was for Dreams Riviera Cancun!! Anyone?
  9. I'm getting married in Riviera Maya in June 2010. I'm going to have to transport my guests from our resort to a near-by church. Does anyone recommend a transportation company there?
  10. Ohhh no prob. At first thats what I wanted... a resort with a chapel, but after months of research... I couldn't find anything that could accomodate all of our needs. For instance, El Dorado Royale is really nice, but its Adults-only. I'm having a large amount of guests coming that will be bringing their children to make a family vacation out of it. Have you looked into any others? I don't know if this fits your needs, but Dreams Tulum has a beautiful small chapel on their grounds. I went there last yr for a friends wedding and the place looked beautiful... very hacienda style. The food was not that great, but theres always going to be something Have you looked into any local churches? Mely
