    If you order from sandartsupplies.com they have the perfect boxes for the bottles they sell. The bottles are 6" tall, not very big at all and the it fits snugglie in the box. I purchased some shredded paper just in case. I'll let you know how it works out for me. Working on them as we speak.

     

    I purchased:

    40 bottles and boxes (came with cork)

    40 boxes

    shredded paper for boxes, just in case

    sand

    shells

    cocktail umbrellas

    parchment paper I had

    ribbons in colors of wedding

    raffia

    small charms for the outside

     

    I will include a save the date magnet I ordered from vistaprint.com

     

    I'll keep ya posted. I'm so freaking excited!

    Can't wait to see them come to fruition!

    Appleton Rum Favors

    Ok Ladies,

    I finally got a response from Appleton Estates regarding my request for prices for small bottles (not one shot bottles) of Appleton Rum VX. I want these small bottles to use as favors for my guests.

     

    Here is what was quoted:

     

    The case price for the miniature bottle of Appleton Estate VX is JA$16,929 for a case of 120. The next size up is a 200ml and the case price is $6,070 for a case of 24.

     

    We will happily deliver given enough notice.

    I did a currency conversion and it looks like the 120 miniature bottles of rum come out to $191.29 US currency. And the small bottles of 200ml comes to $65.59 US. For the 200ml bottles that comes out to $2.74 each, not bad!

     

    Not only do I not need to worry about lugging around favors but they will deliver! Those 200ml bottles are a decent size, not too big, not too small. All I have to work on is the tags for the bottles.

     

    I really wanted a favor that guest would use. And knowing my friends, these bottles won't make it from the reception!

    First of all, your true friends and close family love you no matter what. I know about weight gain, since I too feel self conscious about it. But you know what? This is where we are right now. Stressing over it or not feeling good about is not doing you any good! Love yourself darlin' everything else will fall into place.

     

    As for the invites, this is your wedding and your (and FI's day) you could or not do anything your heart desires. The one thing you must remember is, enjoy it 'cause it only happens once!
