  1. Hi Ashley! I am VERY excited to hear your review once your back from your wedding!!!! Congrats on your marriage and please enjoy the warmth!!! We are freezing up here!!!! We have booked the Royal 2010 package at the Vallarta and are interested in what others have experienced! Take care, Holly from Waterloo
  2. Congrats on your upcoming wedding! The RIU Vallarta is a very nice place and your treated like royalty there! You have to go to the Sir George a la carte as it is absolutely wonderful! Make sure your room is high up as the courtyard bar is very noisy at night time! Bring a pair of water shoes as the rocks in the ocean (as well as the sea creatures) are always in abundance! You may actually see sting rays jumping out of the water! Overall it was a wonderful experience (hence why we are getting married there!!!) and the weather is always fantastic! Make sure to go to the town of Bucerias and go into town on the boardwalk. If you feel a little light headed at night time its because they spray something in the air... bug repellant? Hmmmm just trying to think of the things you need to know when going... Oh yes lock up all your valuables in your safe no matter how nice everyone is. A couple we met there had things stolen from their rooms (camera) and others had their doors left open. That is my only negative comment. As usual don't drink the tap water, bring an insulated mug, LOTS of sunscreen (I brought SPF 70 and still got red at times) and don't forget about the disco! Some nights are better than others. Well I think thats all, if you have any questions about the resort feel free to msg me! All the best, Holly
  3. Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I've had many responses and we are very appreciative of the info on this site! 330 days and counting!
  4. Hello to everyone on BDW.com! Definately looking forward to reading people's reviews and giving/receiving info and tips! My fiance Paul and I vacationed at the RIU Vallarta this past December and we loved it so much we are going there to be married! We will be married at the same location as where Paul proposed to me, on the beach close to sunset. Our 2nd week we will be spending it at the Pacifico Palace I have read some reviews on different websites (ie TA) but not too many brides have been married there so hopefully this is the place to get some! My main question is does anyone know what the charge is to rent the pool bar for our reception per hour? I know that the speakers are 50/hour but no one has mentioned costs for anything else. Any other tips would be much appreciated as we did not see any weddings while we were there last year. A Happy Bride to Be, Holly
