BCBG Applique dress - Size 10, $250 OBO

OMG! that dress is soooo cute! too bad it didn't work out for you. i already have my dress and it would be too dressy for our rehearsal. if it were my size i would buy it in a second (even though i don't need it )
  4. i'll take the aloes if still available. i will PM you too.
  5. Hi Jen, For me the DJ isn't one of my highest priorities, so we are just going to plug in our ipod (we were at a DW this past Jan. where the couple did that and it worked out great!). But, if that's something that's really important to you then I'd say, yes, bring in someone else who you know will understand your requests. That will be one less worry for you on your big day Amber
  6. Congrats! I'm so glad everything worked out with changing hotels and all. You look awesome! And it looks like you guys had the perfect day. Thanks for sharing your pics. Amber
  7. Hi Everyone, The new WC at the Tucan is Gabriela. She has been getting back to me very quickly via email, just like Mayra did Keep using the same email that you were using to email Mayra; this is the email: weddings.playacar@iberostar.com.mx Amber
  8. Hi Everyone, We have the our date reserved at the Tucan 1/30/10. We have been working with a local travel agent in our area (WI) and she does the funjet/apple packages, which we thought would be easier and most cost-effective for our guests. Prices just came out and are a little higher than we wanted our guests to have to pay; $1720 for a week out of Milwaukee. We asked her if she thought prices would drop and she said no and that we should lock in the prices now. I was reading another thread about 2010 pricing where other travel agents are telling people to wait to book b/c prices could drop. Does this price sound reasonable to others? I'm just wondering if we should shop around for a diff TA? I've been in contact with the WC from the Tucan, Mayra, but she is no longer there b/c she has moved back home. The new WC, Gaby, isn't as quick with her responses, but seems nice so far. We don't have a lot of our details figured out yet since we've just been focusing on figuring our travel prices for ourselves and guests. Anyone have other suggestions/info about the Tucan? I am starting to get nervous that the prices may be too high for our guests, but don't want to have to start over with looking for another resort. Thanks, Amber

    Newbie Playa Bride

Hello! I'm Amber and I'm brand new to this site. I'm very excited to get advice and ideas from here. My wedding is at the Iberstar Tucan in Playa del Carmen on Jan. 30, 2010. Amber
  10. Fabulous!!!!

We loved our experience with Playa Weddings!  Our photos and videos are absolutely amazing.  It can be a little scary to hire a vendor that you've never met for a destination wedding, but Rachel and Paul were always quick to return emails and questions.  They were great to work with - very professional, organized, and personable.  Rachel and Paul and their assistants worked their butts off on the wedding day to get all of the shots we asked for.  They were also very accommodating when we had to move our ceremony location last minute due to our resort's beach being under construction. All in all, we could not have been happier with our decision to go with Playa Weddings.  If you are looking for a photographer and/or videographer in the Playa area HIRE THESE GUYS!  They are awesome!
