Thanks Christy for your suggestions! I know it should be fun...but my beloved FI just "likes whatever I like" (LOL), and between this and work and life...it just feels like more work!! But once I get the ball rolling it should be great! Jess I did a search, but I think that I am using the search features wrong, because I am not getting anything relevant. I did "passport invitations" and got nada, and I did "passport" and got a whole lot....of stuff about passports! I will keep looking for more info. : )

Hi Ladies - I need your help!! My FI and I are getting married in Jamaica and I'm sooooo excited! We are going to use the passport invitations -- I think they are so cute and not too overdone (yet!). I have about 4 pages of text to fill up, and I'm not sure what other people put there! Did you put information about yourselves? The ceremony? I don't know. I'm sure this sounds pretty dumb, but I've never seen one up close and personal, so I really have no idea what info I should put in there! Thanks in advance for all of your help... : )

OK, JamaicaBride (hi name twin, LOL), and inunez.....you guys have just singlehandedly helped me plan my reception, without even realizing it!!! I am getting married at RIU Negril on 9/05, and I am super psyched to know we have that option! I just e-mailed Dionne!!! I emailed her about a week ago for certain things, but she hadn't responded, and so I just sent another quick one. From what I have seen/read on other reviews and sites, she can take a while to respond!? I am going through a travel agent as well, and she also told me this about her. Are you guys doing colors, or bringing colored table cloths or anything for the reception, or just going with what they have? I look forward to talking with you more !! (Now I"M the cornball, LOL)

Hello hello!! I am a Bay Area bride who will be marrying my sweetie in NEGRIL!!!!! He is from the East Coast, I spent a bunch of time out there, but am 100% Cali, and we met in Spain! So we have people coming from all over! We tried to do the Northern California vineyard thing....but it just wasn't US! We are soooo excited we scrapped it all (lost a little bit of money in the process...but it was worth it), ignored all the people who tried to tell us that nobody would come, and just went with our hearts! So far we have 16 confirmed, and more on the way! I would love to hear from other brides that had their wedding at the RIU Negril, or that have been married in Negril in September!
