Hi, RIU Montego Bay ladies. I just got a confirmation email that it is okay from the WC. I would just email the WC to make sure and have written confirmation. It was a little weird her first email said,

and then the second email said this,

"Yes you will need to pay a pass for them, the reason why i said that

before was so i can know how to organize everything that day to go

smoothly for you. you can use the outside baker as well ours will only

be able to do what comes with the package.

I guess she just wants to make sure there are no surprises, and she wants to control the situation.

Sorry if I caused a panic.

I just got an email back from my WC at RIU in Montego Bay. She first said not all outside vendors were allowed. Then said, she only said that, because she needs to know how to organize the day...Well, I thought that was weird but in the end as long as I pay the day pass it is allowed.

Just cake and Brian-I wasn't concerned about outside vendors because my Ta said I only had to pay the day pass fee. I just sent the WC an email to find out if the policy changed. Will post her response.

A Cabo bride just received any email from her RIU WC stating that no outside vendors are being allowed, it is a new rule. I have not received any such email. Has anyone else? I emailed my WC just in case but have not gotten a response. Any info?

I also put a deposit down on my photographer, so this new rule worries me. I sent my WC an email to see if this rule is true, will post when I get her reply. Where is the rule stated? If it's not in our original contract, then maybe we can fight it. If we signed contracts with outside vendors before this rule and our contracts do not clearly state this rule, then does it apply? Any one a lawyer or marrying one, who can check this out? This really sucks because I picked RIU because you could use outside vendors as long as you got the day pass.

Did other Brides get an email from their WC? I did not receive one.

I just saw a Bride post on the RIU Cabo thread that RIU no longer allows outside vendors. Any one know if this includes all RIU's?

Is this rule at RIU at every resort?

Great idea. You can even put your dress up for sale before you wear it, if you really want to recoup some money fast.

There are a lot of photographers mentions thru this forum. Sungold has many photographers in their group. I chose Brian Nejedley (briandesign.com) but Stacey Clark was close runner up, (google her for her website). I may actually use her for a TTD. Another option is to ask the photographers if you can use their assistants. Their assistants are often very good photographers who will work for a reduced fee. Plus, many have package options, but you can pick a shorter timeframe, like the ceremony and an hour more for formal pics, short time equals less money. Good luck.

I just typed in "wedding dress no reserve" on Ebay, a few times a week until the strapless dress appeared. It's Nicole Miller, and I have a dress by her so I knew it would fit. So I bid on it. The same day I placed the bid on the Nicole Miller dress, I was visiting a friend. I commented on some of her wedding pictures, and she whipped out her dress. And convinced me to try it on (it's a Jim Hjelm), then refused to let me leave without it. By the end of the day I had two great dresses.

It was a total fluke. If anyone wants the strapless one, pm me and you can have it after my wedding in May. I plan on using for a TTD, so it may not be so perfect. It's a 6.

I went on Nuvo ring for BC and it cleared up my zits. And, if one does pop up, it is usually one of those deep under the skin ones, and I get a cortisone shot at my Derm. It's a really tiny dose, I asked about "make you crazy" side affects and the MD said larger doses can do that. What about acutane? It's supposed to be awesome but you have to really manage it, like get blood tests and stuff while you are on it. I have a friend you took it she had horrible acne and now you'd never know.

I heard that if you hair is colored it will break off.

I never thought about fake flowers until I started reading about them here. Are they nice? Do they smell, is that a dumb question. Are they heavy?
