Another tip ~ try to gather some of your girls, friends or family members to help you out. I had a bunch of cousins, my daughter, and FI helping out and we laughed and talked which made the time pass so quickly. hahahaa....good tip!!! I will definitely have to gather my girls up!!! THank you soooo much!
  2. So I fell in love with this dress at David's Bridal and bought it because they were also having sale. Now they call me and tell me it's in and I have to pick it up because they cannot store it for me! So now what? How do i store it? I was thinking at my mom's house in an upstairs bedroom closet..BUT she used this certain home fragrance and i don't want it stinking up my gown AND I dn't want my gown turning yellow after a long period of time just hanging there! i also got the veil as well..Does that turn color or can I just leave it in the plastic that it came in Anyway, i need help! I've read some threads about purchasing a thick cotton garment bag or box from ebay?? Any other suggestions and places to buy it

  4. Oh good!! that's a great idea...but my only concern is after you fold them to punch the corners, won't they look "used" since they are bent already? hope i'm making sense...I jsut want them looking new without any folds yet when they arrive to my guests.
  5. What did you use to tie the stems together before tying the ribbon? Did you use floral tape?
  6. GREAT VIDEO!!! Thanks for posting!!! If anyone tries to make their bouquet, don't forget to post pictures!!!!! Once I get mine done, I will post my pics as well!!!!!!!!!
  7. There are so many books that I saw at Michael's that shows you how to make a bouquet, but I wanted to know if anyone here ever actually made one themselves. I am going to TRY...yes "TRY" to make my own. I grabbed some pictures that I liked of some bouquets..so we'll see...I saw a lot of real touch flowers at Michaels and you can also get them everywhere...on ebay, through some online websites..just google them and they're pretty cheap! As for bringing it along with you to the DW, I would suggest shipping it also in a box with the bubble wrap or the styrofoam "S" they look like! =)
  8. THOSE ARE PHENOMENAL!!!! How did you cut the indents at the end of the perforations? Did you use an exacto knife?
  9. THANK YOU for SHARING the template!!! They turned out PHENOMENAL!!!! How did you cut the indents next to the perforations on the left side of te BP invites?? did you use an exacto knife? That looks very time consuming.
  10. HI all! Any thoughts on how much to tip the vendors for a destination wedding? Especially if everything is part of a package? I've heard $20 pp or 20%?
  11. Oh good! At least that's comforting to know that. Everytime I asked an employee, they usually had no idea!!!!! The way the economy is going, you NEVER KNOW!!!! Thanks everyone!!!!
  12. Yeah I'm going to try and keep on searching...Usually during the winter, most stores like Walmart or Target or even the sporting goods stores will clearance out their summer stuff and that's when you gotta snatch up the deals!!!!! I will let everyone know how it works out!

  15. Has anyone heard if Bed Bath and Beyond is closing down? I know that there were a bunch of LInens n Things that closed near me and I know that it is the same company that owns Bed Bath and Beyond and I would love to register there because they have sooo many great things!!! and they always have coupons circulating, but I"m scared that out of nowhere they might go out of business.....anyone heard anything?
  16. I saw that thread but the person who started it bought it in a huge bulk. I am looking for somewhere to order them or buy them for cheap because I only need a handful. I know someone purchased them at Costco for $40 on this website, but that's even pretty steep....I"m trying to spend a little less than that.
  17. Has anyone made their own STD magnets using business card templates and sticking them onto the magnets? I"m not too crafty so I wanted to know if there was an easy way to do them and where to get the business cards printed and look nice....any ideas? I've heard some ppl have used vista print. Do they do glossy cards?
  18. Anyone purchased snorkel sets for their OOT bags? I'm looking not to spend crazily on them, and wasn't sure if anyone had luck. I know someone had purchased them by bulk but it was by hundreds, I don't need that many. Any help??
