  1. Hi Zizibe and congratulations! I am having about 20 guests. My photographer is Kimberlee Aihara and while she is not the cheapest maui photographer, I think her quality of work is well worth it. Plus, her package includes a second photographer shooting with her and the rights to all the images. She has a great eye and has been very helpful so far.
  2. I agree, Sydney. Looks like I might have to move my ceremony time a little later though. With the sun setting around 6pm I really wanted to leave ample time to go down to the beach for photos.
  3. Thanks! Our wedding is October 27th. I haven't gotten a videographer yet but I'm worried if I don't, I'll regret it. Precious Maui offers non-edited coverage for $300 so I might do that. I'm expecting 20-30 people but I'm not really sure. Most of that is my fiance's family. I am really torn about accomodations! There are so many places. I am hoping to find a condo building that has various options on prices and numbers of bedrooms. Having a common meeting area for bbq would be great too. Kihei is definitely more affordable than Wailea.
  4. Hi SheeMz! I'm getting married this October in Maui, too. I feel your pain about feeling rushed- I was too naive to realize how close I was cutting it until I went wedding dress shopping this week:) There isn't a lot to choose from where I live but fortunately I found one off the rack yesterday and bought it. This is what I have so far: I went with Maui Precious Weddings but brought in my own photographer. Kim Aihara at Aihara Visuals is so sweet and does awesome work. Plus you get the rights to all the pictures on DVD. The ceremony and reception is at Gannon's. I'm also still looking for places to stay- most likely will be somewhere in Kihei. I still have so much to figure out. We can do it!
  5. Hi everyone! I am getting married at Gannon's this October and have really appreciated all the great information I've gotten off this forum. I just started booking things last month and feel like I have a long way to go still. I'm wondering about the timing of everything. If the ceremony is sometime between 4 and 4:30, and then we do couple photos on the beach (5 min drive away) what are the guests doing during this time? The reception is at Gannon's but they don't start bar service until 5:30. An hour seems like a long time for guests to wait.

Hi, my name is Amy! I don't have a date or location picked yet for my wedding but I'm interested in learning more about Kaui.
