  1. Hi there! We are getting married at Our Lady of Guadalupe and then having the reception at the CasaMagna Marriott. I would also suggest looking into the Botanical Gardens- they were super nice out there and the grounds were beautiful- unfortunately we couldn't work it out with the time our Mass will take place. But, I am happy to pass along their info. Best of luck!
  2. Playa del Carmen is amazing! That is where we were originally planning to go, but we opted for the West Coast simply because a large part of my fiance's family lives in nw Mexico and it would have been very expensive for them to travel there. Best of luck planning your special day in paradise!
  3. Hi there! I'm sorry I'm just now getting back to you. It has been crazy! Anyhow- we were not able to visit with the priest because he was out of town. My fiance's mother spoke with one of the church secretaries and somehow got us moved to the 6:30 mass. Not sure how- bc I didn't even know there was a 6:30 mass! However, with much begging, and a good donation, they agreed to do the wedding ceremony part of the Mass in English, but the rest of the Mass will be in Spanish. The Church is absolutely gorgeous- if it weren't so beautiful I would go elsewhere because they are very confusing!!! I wish I could offer more help, but I left there just as confused as when I went. However, I do know for certain that the 10am Mass is in English. Let me know if you have any other questions and hopefully I can be of more help. I totally fell in love with Puerto Vallarta- simply beautiful! I could seriously pack up my existence and move right on down!!
  4. I can understand how you are confused! I am scheduled to be getting married at Our Lady of the Guadalupe on June 6th at noon. However, I was told that only the 10 am mass was English- but my fiance and I are going to PV (yeah) this weekend and we will be talking to the priest to see if he would be willing to do a bilingual mass since my family speaks no Spanish. Noon is already too early for me! I can't imagine a 10 am service! But, I will let you know what I find out from them when we get back.
  5. Hi there! I'm a newbie- but I want to say thank you for you all sharing your experiences- it has really helped me out! I have a question (actually many :-).) My fiance and I are trying to plan a Catholic ceremony in PV. We spoke with Our Lady of Guadalupe and they have availabilty on our date, June 6, 2009, but at noon---has anyone ever been to a noon wedding? If so- what kind of reception followed? I had envisioned more of a big dinner and dance until the wee hours of the morning! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Has anyone married in another Catholic Church in PV? Is so- was it possible to have a bilingual ceremony (his family is Spanish speaking and mine is English), and do you know where I could find some pictures of different churches.
