After two months of searching, I found my dress.

I was so excited about it and absolutely in love. However, when it arrived I tried it on and immediately started to regret my decision.

I think it was a combination of it not being altered to me and I gained about 7 pounds since trying on the sample. Also my mom assured me it would be fine once I got it pressed and altered.

I hope she is right. That was in September and I am hoping that when I go for my first fitting after New Years, I love it again. I have looked at the online picture and I do love it...but will I love it on me.

BTW- I have lost 5 pounds which I think will do the trick. I am not the type to be obsessed with my weight but for my wedding, I do want everything re my appearance to be perfect.

I think it will be. My wedding is in 5 months and 4 weeks from today in beautiful Positano, Italy! I cannot wait!

My biggest stress factor has been worrying about my dogs and graduate school. I have two boxers and my Fiance doesn't want to board them since we'll be out of the country for 3 weeks. All of my friends are married and some have kids so they would not be able to come house sit. My vet told me to call her when were are a few months out to see if there was a vet tech who could house/dog sit. Also, I am getting my MBA. Planning a wedding, dieting (to get just 5 lbs off), working full-time and going to school at night is hard. But I think it will be worth it. I am also trying to stay positive about finding someone to stay with my fur babies.

All of my guests have been family and a few friends. Getting them to book was easy. I did all the research and gave them options on our private website. To my surprise everyone has plane tickets to Rome, and plans on meeting us there to site see and travel to Positano together. I was shocked that this fell into place. I anticipated this being the biggest stress factor.

We are having a small wedding too, we are only having immediate family and four friends so including us is a total of 14 people. We're doing a long dinner reception in Italy after our wedding ceremony, pictures and a toast at the ceremony site. The dinner will be long and on a private balcony at the restaurant.

Hey Ladies,

I made my Save the Dates for my wedding in Positano, Italy and they were awesome! So I wanted to make my AHR invitations, place cards, etc., but I wanted to find some new graphics. It will definitely have an Italy feel but not be wine or grape related since we're not getting married in Tuscany. And since our AHR will be in northern Virginia we didn't want to use seaside items.

Anyway, does anyone know where I can get some graphics...preferably free? I am looking for lemons, bright colors, whimsical graphics will do, etc. I am more contemporary and less traditional. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Thanks ladies....I think the dress has been the most stressful decision thus far. Everything else is pretty much done. I think I am having a moment due to stress. I have taken on a lot. I am in grad school and I work full time.

Anyway...thanks again, I think I'll feel better about it around January/February when I go to get fitted.

So, I think I am regretting my dress decision.

I loved my dress when I found it but when it came in recently...I started to not like it as much. My mom told me its because its not pressed properly and not altered to fit me perfectly. She told me to wait and see. Also, I am a bit self conscious because I've put on about 5 pounds. Has anyone through this? Does it turn out ok?

I am getting married in may so, I have some time. I have already dropped 4 pounds I wanted to since trying on my dress. Need some friendly advise.

Wow this looks great! I wanted to do a mailing prior to our wedding too. All of this was done on Vista Print...seems too easy and inexpensive to be true.

Did you upload a template or finished product or did you choose from their templates? Just curious b/c I love it and want to do something easy

I personally like #2 and #3. I think if I were you, I'd go with more bling...#3.

#1 and 3 are awesome! Don't worry about your stomach...you are the only one noticing it because you are looking down at yourself. From our perspective of looking at you...we cannot see a thing. You look great in all three!

My fiance and I are doing a donation favor as well. I did not come up with this idea but copied it from something I think I saw on the knot. We are going to donate money to the organization we adopted our dogs through. Its small non-profit, in fact it is run out of a lady's house. So we felt helping out someone who opens her home to abused and unwanted dogs is just the right recipient.

At any rate, I wanted to package dog bone cookies and have a tag with it stating the organization we chose. You could do heart shaped cookies which is appropriate for a wedding and the organization you chose. You could do sugar cookies or some kind that does not require frosting so you don't have to worry about anything melting. Just a thought...
