  12. Thanks for sharing the video Bianca! I figured out why I have been so bad at commenting, I am not getting updates from the forum of new posts...not sure why. I wanted to share another online company I have found....Moon Glow Candles. They sell sand in TONS of colors for the sand ceremony. They also say comparabale to Alfred Angelo's _____ or David's Bridal _______, very good match to my swatch, and it was quickly proccessed and shipped. I had also shared the programs company which was custom-programs.com for the programs that look like fans....she was great to deal with and really able to customize. I ended up ordering menus, place cards and table numbers as well. Also, I found a cake place near by....turtle bay cafe in Akumal. Just google cakes akumal or something and it comes up. She is charging me ~$300 for the big cake and the groom's cake with delivery. I was disappoiinted with the ones we had seen on dreams website and the one from lyales wedding....anyway, in case anyone is interested. Also, after the wedding, Brad and I will be moving to El Paso, TX (actually our house hold goods will be gone 1 week before the wedding), and we are not going to move into our new home to end july-earlu Aug....we are going to be away in Europe from ~7/1-20, so I will not post pictures or a review for A WHILE! Starting a new job as soon as we get to Texas to start paying all this back Best wishes to you all if I don't get on to write before then! Best, Monica

Aaronsgirl - weather can change, so don't worry! Part of the reason I keep saying, I will figure it out when I get there! I am planning on ceremony in gazebo and cocktail hr there, reception not sure, pending temperature, wind, humidity. I don't want my hair and makeup running down my face! It will be great whereever, your on vacation!

My dad left them like a $25 tip per waiter. We had 2. I would have known sooner about not being able to set up the tables for us, but my voicemail was not working. Ceremony: OMFG IT WAS WINDY!!! No joke. That part was horrible. My veil flew out of my hair. Luckily my sister caught it. There was a chair or two that got blown across the gazebo and we had to cut out the sand ceremony. I did not ask for the speakers but it was set up for us anyways. I asked for the videographer and he was there. There were also like 3 resort photographers plus my photographer, Martha Roque. Everything was nice. I didn't really care about the decorations at this point. they had the tulle wrapped around the poles like we've seen in other photos. There were two floral pieces set up on the front two poles and then one on the table. Thats about it. Reception: This was gorgeous! Oceana was closed that night so we had it there WITH our 3 kids. Jacy said it was not a problem. The set up was amazing. I really need to post photos of this. Jacy did an amazing job. One part that I didn't let bother me was that there were some rude people on their balcony making "sex" noises. A bit immature, but they eventually stopped. let me know if you guys have any questions... I will try to post some pics in the next week or so. OOOOHHHH!! My photographer's husband also owns a transportation company. We got a great rate to take us to the ruins on Friday. We went to Coba and Tulum and had lunch in between. The beach at tulum is something you do NOT want to miss! We paid $320 for two 14 passenger vans that had a cooler with water and beer. Sinal tours was charging $390 I think for the 2 vans without the cooler with drinks. Bianca - Congrats! Can you post the photog's hubby's company info...sounds great! Ladies - sorry I have fell off the planet. Busy with work and move = no time for wedding stuff ! I just sure am glad this swine flu stuff is dying down

I am waiting it out as well....I am a pharmacist who works in a clinic where we have sick visits every morning and my fiance is a physician, so we are exposed to stuff all the time! This is a very similar strain of flu (influenza A H1N1) that we have seen all year....anyway, I am not worried about getting sick, etc, I am worried that they might suspend travel. Gina, have you s/w Jacy yet to find out what they can do?

  18. Hello, i copied and pasted from the last email....taffeta sahes, poly napkins....did not like the satin napkins... from prestige linens in an aqua color (#45) and white (#5) and (#25) napkins in turqouise if you can use them.
  19. Hello Aaronsgirl - I know we talked quickly about sashes the a while back...I ordered some today from prestige linens in an aqua color (#45) and white (#5) and (#25) napkins in turqouise if you can use them. For the rest of you, it was ~$100 with shipping and they were helpful on the phone with color matching. It was the same place Patsah had found on ebay, but I went to their on-line store. I got a reply from the concierge a day later and they attached a "spa menu" and deposit form. Well, I was confused, so I wrote back and said that the hair and makeup appointment that I want to schedule is included in my package, why do I have to send a deposit and now...no reply. So, has anyone had to deal with this yet? Do we have to give a deposit and will that then be applied toward our package? I just think that is a little silly. I emailed Jacy directly...i wanted a trial one a couple of days before, so she is scheduling the appts. Can you send that spa menu? THANKS!

It just seemed like the costs would really add up - blood tests, converting the birth certificates to Spanish, having to be in Mexico for four entire days before the wedding, the process of getting your actual marriage certificate, etc. I picked a destination wedding because I want it to be easy and relaxed so we ultimately decided do all the paperwork before hand. I am not sure that we will tell anyone though! We are getting married in the court before we go as well....mainly for military move purposes....our move is the same time as the wedding! Anyway, we just decided we are not going to tell anyone as it is not a date we are celebrating, wearing the wedding band or anything like that!

Who usually presides over this ceramony and is there a standard script? 3) Cocktail hour- What locations are available? What is included as far as food and drink? Jacy's Answers: Please find attached samples of our photographer´s work. Symbolic ceremonies are performed by a non denominational minister, a sample of the ceremony is as follow: Who gives their blessing for this wedding? (In the religious ceremony) Who gives away this woman in marriage? Non religious ceremony Opening Words Opening Prayer (in the religious ceremony) Scripture Reading (in religious ceremony) Charge to the couple Wedding Vows Exchange of Rings Blessing of Rings (in religious ceremony) Signing of Marriage Certificate Pronouncement of Husband & Wife First Kiss as Husband & Wife Presentation of the new Mr. & Mrs. American Blessing For the cocktail hour, most of the couples have this after the ceremony and use the same location. We can offer a palapa by the beach, banquet room or a pool terraze. Jesidan - I also emailed the minister as I wanted to ask some questions and change a few things and he was very kind and helpful!
  23. Hi Ladies -- I emailed Jacy re: several items over the past few weeks. She did confirm the Mexican buffet option for the rehersal would $18/pp. I am confirming that this does include alcohol. I will let you know. The tulle that was in Laura's pics and the lanterns in the gazebo hanging there, are included with no additional fee. The cocktail hr includes waiter passed cocktails. Maybe they just were not coming quick enough, but I told Jacy that this would not be acceptable for the guests to go to the bar. The Ultimate package comes with photog and video UNLESS you decided to exchange these items for other services. I also am making sure there is a business center or something to print welcome letters on since locations won't be decided until I get there. I booked a group excursion today as well. Don't know anything about the company other than what I read on-line, but the prices were not to be beat! Sail, swim, snorkel, parasail, and enjoy the Mayan Riviera with Paradise Catamarans. Our private catamaran charters make every outing a memorable event.

I lived in HI for several years...you will absolutely not be disappointed with Tiki's. MUCH better than the food at Dukes as the other person advised....They set up a nice private area right by the pool and right outside the dining room! It will be great...the view of Waikiki is the best. As she also stated, you can get tickets and do the luau..if you do a group at Paradise Cove you can probably get a good price!
