Hi, I got married at ASP on June 27th with 30 guests in tow and I enjoyed every moment of it. As for the timing the wedding in June, we chose 5pm because it's not as hot by then. Also the sun was not at it's brightest making for very good lighting for all of our photographers pictures and our guests' cameras. Also we were able to have the great pictures with sunset at about 6:30 or 7:00 can't remember. Dinner was on a terrace of the Steakhouse Restaurant and we had the entire terrace to ourselves. ASP guests were only seated inside the restaurant. Then reception with bar and DJ in the Coba Gazebo where we were married. Great breeze off the ocean! Not sure if this helps. But my husband and I traveled there a year before we got married in June to make sure we truly liked the resort, so we also checked out the best time to have our wedding during our stay. Oh I should add it rained until about 2:30pm the day of my wedding. However everything went just as planned and the staff worked overtime to make everything dry. Because it is so hot there the ground dries quickly also. Hope this helps. Other questions let me know... -Destination Bride
  2. Hi Everyone, I too am marrying at Aventura in less than 80 days!!!!! So just when I think I have it all planned they go and change the packages. Well I do like that they have decided to offer themed decor for the ceremony & fireworks, being as though i don't want to use their hair and make up services and some of the other stuff in the original package. Just in case anyone would like to compare new to old I have listed info from emails that were sent to me from Dulce (Wedding Coordinator). Old Superior: gazebo, documents, justice of peace, marriage certificate, folding chairs, 2table top flower arrangements, bouquet and boutonniere, large 1 tier cake, horse drawn, mani & pedi, make up & hair, 25 min massage, 50 min massage 25 min facial bride/groom, 2 bathrobes, Photo A, dvd of ceremony, domestic champagne for guests, dinner reservations, special breakfast in bed, cd player for ceremony, wedding planner, late check out 6pm, honeymoon package $1800.00 Old Deluxe: all of services above, and the wedding dress press service, live music $2,200.00 Hope this helps!
  3. Hi Everyone, I will be getting married at Aventura on June 27, 2009, eight months away! Though the website and tripadvisor.com describe the resort as amazing, we had to see for ourselves. We went just this past June and were truly impressed by the impeccable service, amenities, maintenance of the resort, etc. The website is nice, but really doesn't capture how beautiful the place is. We had a site tour with Dulce, chose the North Gazebo to wed in, reviewed the photographers work, etc. You've made the right choice and your wedding will be amazing!!!
