  1. I did receive the credit. I was able to use it as room credit therefore I could do whatever I wanted with it.
  2. Hello everyone, I posted on here about two weeks because I was going to Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and I was having doubts after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I would just like to say don't believe everything you read. We were there from 2/8- 2/15 and enjoyed every moment of it, did not want to leave. The resort was very beautiful. It has two sides, the manor and riveria side. There is a jittney and bus service that takes you around the resort. We had a very good time, the only bad was that it rained for two days straight, that's nothing we have control over though. We got married on Thursday Feb 12, 2009 and it was wonderful. We were wedding stalkers the previous days before...lol...We got to see a wedding at the Roman Gazebo. It was nice but too close to the manor pool, therefore there were alot of onlookers. We also saw a wedding on the Arizona pier, that was also very nice, but many onlookers becuase it was close to the beach. We got married at the Reef Gazebo becuase of it's privacy and beauty. It is located on a cliff that overlooks the ocean. The day was absolutely beautiful, sunny but not too hot. We brought our own flowers and our coordinator Kerry-Ann put them up for us, she didn't have a problem with doing so. We also brought our own supplies and did a sand ceremony. The sand ceremony is free if you bring your own supplies, if not the charge is $100.00. I got my hair done at the Spa and Geneve did a very good job, I told her what I wanted and she did just that. The photographer also did a good job with the pictures. We did an a la carte package and had a a very hard time narrowing down the pictures because they all looked good. The photographers do take nice pictures at the resort but they charge too much money for them. We didn't do any excursions but we did take a say trip to Sandals Dunn's River. It was a nice resort but I like The Grande better, staff and guests were friendlier, everyone would always volunteer to take pictures of us. I enjoy my trip and I have no regrets. For all future brides who are going to Sandals Grande Ocho Rios just go with an open mind and you will have a wonderful WeddingMoon. I had a wonderful time, I did not want to leave and hope everyone else has a remarkable experience like me.
  3. Hi everyone, I have been on this site before, but never really took the time to read the post. I am leaving on 2/8/09 for SGOR and getting married on 2/12/09. It will be just FI and I therefore it will be a small, simple and short wedding. I don't know if it is because the time is nearing or I am just having some wedding jitters but I am very nervous. I am sometimes having regrets on booking the basic wedding at SGOR because I read that the basic package comes with no kind of decorations. This sucks, but is it real noticeable if you don't do any decorations. I feel like I spent too much money to get nothing. Also any past brides that had their pictures taken, how was the outcome and quality. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if any past brides are still active on the board can you please assure me that I haven't made a bad choice in booking SGOR.

    Hello

Hi my name is Elise and I am a newbie to the board. I am trying to get ideas on where to get married. FI and I were at first thinking about doing a traditional wedding but the cost of having one is just outrageous. We have now decided to elope probably in Cancun, Punta Cana or Jamaica. The only problem we are having now is deciding on where to go. All these places have so many beautiful resorts. All advice would be greatly appreciated.
