  1. Normally, they used a closed resturant for the cocktail hour and reception. Below is the schedule and hours of the resturants. I know that it is popular to have cocktails at X-lounge on the beach. I dont know much about having a reception on the beach or outdoors by the pool. But, many of the resturants have outdoor areas If you would like to be outside. I'm having my reception at Chez Isabelles, with cocktails on the outside veranda just off the resturant. Hope this helps!

  3. I would send invites to everyone you would invite to an at home wedding. Some people like to just have the invitation as a keepsake. I sent out 100 std and currently have 26 people booked. If its a cost thats a concern for you I would suggest possibly sending two types maybe a print your own to people who you know are not coming. And a more formal invite to others. Just air on the side of caution if people run in close circles. Since you dont want to offend send some sort of invite to everyone.

  4. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

I am getting married 9 days before you so we should be working on similar time lines. I mailed out my save the dates in Sept. In order to allow people an opportunity to book their trip on their time. This way they can watch the travel rates and book when it was best for them. On my save the dates I had a link to my wedding website which had most of the vital information about the wedding. I plan on sending out my invitations in April. I choose pocket fold invites so that I can pack them with wedding details. Remember you may want an RSVP of all your guest so get your invites out with enough time. One of he destination wedding books I was reading recommended mailing invites for a destination wedding 4 months in advanced. I already ordered my dress over the summer so it should be arriving any day now. My bridesmaids havenâ€t ordered their dresses yet and the bridal shop I am working with recommended ordering them in the next month to allow for alterations. I hope all this information helps and doesnâ€t overwhelm you. Let me know if you need any more help I'm always up for PM.
