  1. I got there a week early so I just booked when I arrived at the resort. My sister who is only 15 did my makeup, everyones actually, it was pretty funny! I got my bouqet from bitter sweet wedding designs, they are fake I didn't even look into upgrades from the hotel. But I saw the free ones and was not impressed they were a round bouquet of carnations.
  2. Yeah they normally have a stereo set up so they must have an extension cord or something for power. I would ask Chandlyn when you get there.
  3. It's $10-15 pp for the beach bar and set up and so worth it. The centerpieces were from another bdw bride who got married a couple days before me. She actually made them herself and shipped them there, they cost $60 each to make. I'm not sure how much to ship them though
  4. We got a bottle of Jamaican Jerk sauce as favors for our guests for only 1.50 each. Everyone loved them and thought they were a great idea.
  5. I can email you his 2008 price list if you want so you have an idea at least? I don't think it's changed much that's all I hav right now though?
  6. If you have over a certain amount of ppl you get the brides trip for free then over another amount the groom trip free too. We booked through Sunquest with my aunt who is a travel agent in Ontario. I'm not sure how many people you need, but we have 80 ppl attend
  7. I used Misha Earle out of Jamaica, she was absolutely wonderful! I'm so happy with the pictures so far. My flowers I got in Canada from Bitter Sweet Wedding Designs they were amazing to work with as well!
  8. Thanks! I suggest everyone have the same attitude everything is probably not going to be perfect but if you don't stress about it then your day won't be affected by it! The pics are posted in another thread Called *Pics* January 19 ROR
  9. So sorry to hear about your negative experience. We were there at the same time and had no issues with staff, but I guess it depends on who you get to clean your room, and there was one reception lady that was far from helpful to us as well, I wonder if it was the same lady? And I'm happy you mentioned the plantation eating 'rules' they did try to serve us all our food before the other guests ate and we had to be stern and tell them no serve us salad then let everyone else eat. I don't understand that at all but for other ROR brides don't let them delay your reception, it's up to you when ppl eat not them. We got out of there right at 830 and we asked Chandlyn for the beach reception till 12 and she agreed as well? I'm not sure why the DJ and bartender were not accomadating considering it was the hotels fault you were late. I wanted to reference that picture of the beach sand benches, wasn't that amazing? I found out later that whole setup wasn't even a wedding, it was a pharmaceutical company having a banquet or something. I was wondering how much that sand bench would be it was so neat, we went and sat on it later on after the guest from the banquet left!

  11. Yes I bought centerpieces from a BDW Bride, and the flowers were fake from Canada. The free package does come with flowers but not centerpieces
  12. Yeah we danced back down the aisle to Sexyback it was so much fun we're really glad we did it! We just sat on the jetski for the picture, that's my favorite pic of us together, I love it! Thank you everyone!

  14. That's what I have so far, I wasn't sure how to post them any other way, hope this is okay!
  15. Yes you do need a guest pass they are $80US and that caused a tiny bit of stress that morning because she couldn't get past the gates even until it was paid and i was getting my hair done. So make sure you get that done before you go and get ready
  16. Yeah that sounds right Vanessa, I think the one that some ppl weren't happy with was pregnant! And the centerpieces looked absolutely beautiful, I ended up giving them to the staff who served us, maids and wedding coordinators. They flew out of my room like hotcakes once the word was out the were being given away! haha! They are did such a great job, they definitely deserved them! Thanks again!
  17. I'm not sure how to post pictures and I also would love to post the video somewhere if anyone knows how let me know! We had the DJ for the seagrape and had absolutely no problem hearing the music. And I'm sorry I didn't catch the name of my Hairstylist, but she is the one that is normally there everyday i think the other one only comes in when she needs help
