  1. So I've been planning my destination wedding for over a year, and its finally here. We have 40 guests coming with us, and we fly out May 10 (next Sunday). Unfortunately, my guests are very worried about the swine flu situation and some have started to cancel. I don't know what to do. I've advised them about tamiflu (which my dr already prescribed to me), but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I know the swine flu problem is much bigger than me or my wedding, but its hard to accept that things are falling apart with a week left. Its killing me.
  2. I'm so excited to read all of the happy reviews of the CasaMagna- I'll be getting married there May 15. 2009 and am so happy with our decision! We started off wanting Moon Palace, but our family loves the beach and I've heard awful things about theirs (all confirmed by a friend who visited last month). Our guests will not bee staying at CM; we're staying somewhere a bit more affordable so that more of our family can make it (Catalonia Riviera Maya- 10 of us spent a week there in 2006- great resort). I'm curious and a little concerned about the blood test involved in a legal ceremony. Anyone with experience in this area... who performs the test? Were you as comfortable having this done as you would have been in the US?
  3. My name is Jenn, and I'm getting married in Cancun, Mexico on May 15, 2009. Our ceremony and reception will be at the Marriott CasaMagna Cancun. My fiancee and I have been engaged since last November, so I'm really excited to finally be able to start working on plans. In fact, I think I found THE wedding dress yesterday I'm hoping this forum will be a great resource in D.W. tips.
