  1. Lucy106's someone is me, now on the forum. I used Cecilia for our wedding on June 9 and TTD on June 10. I thought our pictures turned out nice biased opinion, ha,ha, but I am not a photographer like the poster who had the bad experience. She is very nice and fun to work with. I think she must be having an e-mail issue because she was always quick to respond to me. If Lucy106 hasn't already sent you the link PM with with your e-mail address. I will try to post some on here at some point.
  2. The ladies are right on about the hair - though Paula's still looked fabulous. It is more windy than I could've imagined. Like Jilly my sister and I both had little stray pieces flying around in the pictures, though it's not too obvious. My bangs drove me nuts! I had planned on leaving it down for TTD, but wore it up because all of Cancun was super windy (but it is hurricane season). My seamstress mentioned there are little almost invisible weights she could add onto a veil, so maybe that's an option for those who really want one. I just went with flowers.
  3. I was married at DC on June 9, so I think I can provide some insight into the number of weddings question. In the morning we would see 3 or 4 of the "free" weddings - (just the couple, maybe a few guests, the bride usually had a small bouquet and a sundress, so I'm guessing these were the "free" ones). We were there 5 days, each day had at least one more elaborate wedding in the early evening and on 2 days 2 elaborate weddings were held (One was on our wedding day and we're pretty sure they confused our weddings. Don't panic I'm writing a review to help you prevent this from happening to you!). These weddings followed were on the same day as the more simple ones, but I never saw more than 2 elaborate weddings.
  4. Exactly T&N! Besides we have a pretty funny wedding story and if everything went as planned it wouldn't have been as memorable. We think they confused our wedding with the one that preceded ours. The flowers, gazebo set up, centerpieces, and cake (looks and flavor) were not what was specified on our contract. The sound system we paid $200 to use just during the ceremony made Katy Melua sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks for some reason. We also were supposed to get a longer wedding video in exchange for not using their photography package, but that didn't happen. Eduardo from Miguel Angel Cantarell's video team was so nice and the video is great. I'm sure Claudia never told him the video was supposed to be longer. Minor details that don't make us any less married, but disappointing when you've spent time and money. I will write a full review- not to bash Dreams or make everyone paranoid, but to share our experience so people can perhaps be more prepared about what to expect and how they might avoid ending up with someone else's wedding. Everyone had a good time and the wedding was fine, just not what we'd planned. Don't worry!
  5. Hello everyone! Adam and I were married at Dreams Cancun on June 9, 2008. Even though we paid for their "ultimate" package they got nearly every detail of the wedding wrong - to the point we think they may have confused our wedding with the other one that took place right before ours. Even though the wedding was pretty, it was very frustrating to feel like you crashed someone else's wedding. Hopefully, I can share some information so that other Dreams brides can actually get the weddings they've been so meticulously planning. We honeymooned the following week at Secrets Capri and to the brides getting married there - you'll love it! We only saw one wedding there all week and it was perfect.
