  1. I didn't use a template, just the CD Stomper blank templates. I then chose a picture of us that I liked that wasn't too busy and made it bigger so I could position it with us in the right spot. I then added a text box at the top and one at the bottom and typed everythign in manually. Took about 30-45 min to make and get it all lined up perfectly so the songs wrapped with the cd curve. The songs we chose were:

Congrats on a beautiful planning thread! Whew!
Thank you! It has actually been more fun than I thought it would be as I am not (or was not) a DIYer.

We got the tie at a little store in LA but can't remember the name. I checked the label for you as I had not heard of it before. It is a Steve Harvey tie from the Steve Harvey Collection....mabe you can find it online ( tried looking just quickly and didn't see it)? I doubt G will ever wear it now that we bought another one, I can ask him if you want it?
  3. I had my final fitting on Tuesday. We are adding a halter strap that is removable so that I can put it on when I dance and don't have to worry about pulling up the dress. Here are the pics (she is taking in the bubble on my hips that popped up from the boning we added, and the new strap is just pinned on, bu t this is the general look. I won't see it again until I pick uit up for leaving on the 31st! Exciting.

The necklace was designed by my jeweler, but I don't like it with the dress so he is making me a new one that is like a tennis bracelet..single strand of diamonds so it is more simple

  4. My last major project is now finished! YEAH! less than 2 weeks until we leave and I am glad to have this done.

We are alternating seats with 2 different favors so the couples don't have the same favor. One seat will get a crystal heart wine stopper:

I took the whte bows off the box and put on alternating wedding color ribbon (and took the crystal heart off their bow and put in on mine). I am still in the process of printing/cutting the hanging heart tag (I am changing my standard logo into a heart shaped one to match).

The other favor is a CD of some spanish songs we love (I designed the label from a pic that was taken where we are getting married and printed at home), inside a petals box with our logo and tied with same ribbone I tied the wedding invitations so it matches everything.

  5. So I have been DIY'ing away....Here is the rest of what I have. I think the only thing I have left is to print my CD's for the 2nd favor (they are designed but for some reason are not printing without lines in them.

  6. This was surprisingly not too difficult. A little time consuming (Yes, I did have to apply the crystals one by one). I used a template I made in word and used double sided tape to hold it in place underneath the mylar paper, then stuck them on individually usuing bent nose tweezers.

The fabric on my dress is ribbed on the top where I applied my wording. I stretched it over a wood cutting board before/during ironing so they wouldn't pop off when I wear it. The crystals are HotFix so you do not need to use glue, the iron sticks them on

I did a white bikini for hte day after as well since I got the hang of it :)

  7. We are alternating at the seats (so couples don't end up with 2 of the same thing). One seat gets a crystal heart wine stopper (we are wino's and our theme is all crystaled). The other is a personalized CD that I made of some of my favorite spanish songs. I created the label with our photo, placed it in a blue cd pocket and put that inside a ecru metalic petals that matches everythign else on the table (placecards, table numbers & menus) with our logo and tied iwth a blue ribbon.

Luna Photo is the best! They are doing our wedding in Cabo and I did my BD shoot with her this past weekend at The Ivy hotel (kind a last minute thing 2 weeks ago). I love Paula, she made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I can't wait to see my pics today.
  9. I am not in to china even though I entertain at all the holidays for 20 and have dinner for about 8 at least 1x per month. We were not goign to register for it (we weren't going to register for anything but people were driving us nuts) as I don't like the embellished/ornate look. We found a beautiful set by Noritake that is bone china, but the trim looks just like our venetian plaster walls by the dinning room. This set was not as much as most (sug. retail was $185 per 5 piece setting). As Macy's has sales all the time, I have seen it as low as $79. So, we both loved it and registered for a set of 16 and we already received all of the place settings. People will go with their budget and will get you one setting or more. If you entertain....do it! If not, and there are other items you really need/want, skip it. Fine China doesn't have to be $500 a setting...you can find a nice one like we did that won't break the bank but is still "fine china"

  11. After my success with my dress that I did this morning, I decided to decorate one our daugthers outfits for the wedding week. I bought it to match our wedding colors but turned out cute with "flower girl" on it. It was smaller font so this was more difficult than my dress (she is only 4) and it came out less legible, but still cute. She helped me place the crystals, so we had a lot of fun doing it.

  12. So, I did it! I am so glad I found the instructions on how to do this on this site..you ladies, again, are fab!

Here is my first DIY Rhinestone Application. I had bought the dress from Victoria's secret about 6 mos ago to wear the day after the wedding. I followed Erica's instructions, bought Flatback, Hotfix crystals on eBay (1000 for $6) and amazingly enough, I think they came out pretty good (especially as I am not a crafty person). I am doing our little girls flower girl tank next.
