  1. my family liked dress #1 the best, but i'm a little hesitant about the bow on the front- does it make it look a little silly? i can't decide how i feel about it quite yet. i will also post the davids bridal links so you can see some quality pics of the gowns.

David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns V9462 Satin A-line with beaded lace on tulle overlay and empire bodice with bow.

David's Bridal - Bridal Gowns T9397 Strapless taffeta side drape with metallic beaded lace bodice and trumpet skirt.

  2. well i went on my very first fitting today [at davids bridal]- and i'm thinking it was a good idea to start 1.5 years before the wedding... i didn't have much luck. there were 2 that stood out as my favorites and i'll see if i can figure out how to include pics in this post.

the pictures are pretty terrible, and you can see that i was not really focusing on having them taken anyway. a flash may have helped, but oh well- we still have LOTS of dress shopping to do.

i'm also still trying to decide if i'm going to wear shoes, flip flops, wedge flip flops, or barefoot sandals... ahhh smile41.gif

  3. i just have some quick questions about viewing threads.

is there any way i can see more than 10 replies on one page? it can get a little tedious when there are 10 pages of replies and the "good stuff" is hidden at the end.

also, is there a way to set it up so that signature pics are not displayed? everyones pics are, of course, gorgeous- but i am slightly addicted to this forum, and seeing them on each of the 100s of threads i read a day bogs me down. :) :) [haha maybe the solution to that is for me to get off the stinkin computer!!]

    thanks!

  4. i've been shopping at elf for a while, and i love their stuff. it is all pretty small sized (much smaller than the pictures online make the products look) but i never use any makeup up before it gets germ-y and gunk-y anyway.

the only complaint i have so far is the mascara- it's a little clumpy and gross. i do prefer something a little nicer.

other than that- they are great products.

  5. We had our first meeting with the travel agent today, and because we are planning a Jan 2010 wedding in Mexico- we won't be able to get a date/resort locked in until March 2009. BUT I really want to get STDs out to let our guests know what the plans are and to give them some time to start saving some cash.

I am considering sending out STDs with a "tentative" date & location... is that a total oxymoron? I'm thinking they'll appreciate the notice in time to actually start putting away pennies even though it's not set in stone yet.

Then as soon as we are confirmed I thought we could send out formal invites with directions on where, when, and how to book.

What do you ladies think? Is it totally tacky to send out save the dates with no date?

  6. Hello all. I have a few questions about addressing my envelopes.

What is the best way to address a family on the mailing envelope- especially since I will not having an inner envelope for this mailing. Is it appropriate to print "John Smith and Family" or "John & Pocahontas Smith and Family" ?

Also, when using my own printer on a #10 envelope are there any regulations from the USPS I need to be aware of?

    Thank you so much!

    Aimee
