I'm getting married in November too and feel like I should be doing, planning, arranging something! I think it all depends on how much detail you want to go into. If you're going to go all out with centerpieces etc. and you're on a budget, make your own and bring them with. Just keep in touch with the WC regarding colours, themes to see what's available for you to rent. Of course, every little thing has a price when it comes to the extras provided by the resort!

I'm getting married at Dreams Punta Cana, and they haven't asked for any holds yet. I'm surprised that Tulums is. Plus, you're doing your TAs job. Just smells a little fishy to me.

I agree with the majority - you don't have to please anyone but yourself. No MOH? No big deal!

i read on another forum that Dreams is also having an issue with another photographer (severinphoto). After I saw her pics, which were unbelievable!!, I emailed her for availability. She replied stating Dreams had banished her because she doesn't PAY THEM as much as the current photog does! I think we need to plan a revolt -- we can't let these small-minded extortionists dictate what pics we are forced to look at for the rest of our lives. I've asked her to find out who the owner is, because obviously management are the villains here. I'll post updates as I get them.

I'm getting married Nov 24/08 in the Dominican Republic. I've never planned a group trip before, so I'm definitely looking forward to learning some tips and tricks from those who are in the same boat, or who have been there, done that!!!!
