  1. Hi there! We just got back from our "elopement" in Maui. It was unbelievably gorgeous. I used Kelly Stoneman through adreamweddinginparadise.com as my wedding coordinator. She was unbelievable. I didn't have to worry about a thing. We got married in Makena, which is a nice, private area in south Maui. We used Reverand Joe Miles as our officiant. I'm telling you, he was the sweetest, most easy going man I've ever met! Everything went so smoothly with him. His website is Reverend Joe Miles - Maui Wedding Officiant What's really great is that he will let you completely tweak the vows he has listed on his website. That was nice for us since it was just us two at our ceremony. I used Sean Michael Hower for our photography and videography. Hawaii Maui Digital Wedding Photography Package Photographer Service Videography Photojournalistic They made the whole process so fun with their personalities. We couldn't stop laughing. I hope you have a beautiful wedding. Sarah
  2. Wow...I couldn't imagine getting my underarms waxed! I went in for a bikini wax one time, and left only with one side done. I screamed and cussed so much, she told me she wouldn't be able to finish if I didn't shut up. I ended the nightmare on my own. However...I had laser hair removal done on my underarms for one year (typical time), and I really don't have to shave anymore. Seriously...it's all gone. I think I have about three or four hairs on each arm left. No bumps, no more ingrowns. I'm telling you - I barely ever raised my arms because even after shaving it still looked like I hadn't in days. A year later, no hair...it looks like any other part of my body now. It was so worth the cost. I went to American Laser Center. You can usually get a pretty good deal - especially if you decide to include other body parts.
  3. Hi! We're doing the "elopement" thing in Maui also. We're staying at the Maui Westin and I think I'm going to use Kelly from A Dream Wedding in Paradise as my coordinator. It's going to be just us two, so we're doing it this summer as our ceremony / honeymoon. Can't wait!
  4. Thanks for your reply. My Gosh, you were very thorough in your detailed wedding description! I'm sure tons of people have found that helpful. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
  5. Thanks! I'll check them out...if I can figure out how to search for them and maneuver around this forum!
  6. Hi! My fiance and I want to "elope" to Maui. We were going to have a ceremony with close family in Mexico, but it got too complicated, so we're going by ourselves to Hawaii - a place I've always wanted to go. I need advice on a beautiful location to have a quick ceremony so that it can be photographed and videotaped on the beach. We want to stay at a 4/5 star hotel / resort that is not totally geared toward families. We love outdoor activities, but we also love to party! I would appreciate any ideas...we're trying to plan this for June! : ) Thanks a bunch!!!
  7. Hi guys! Finally on here...24 hours doesn't come quick enough when I have questions! So, I'm getting married in Cabo San Lucas at the Riu Palace on June 27th, and we just figured this out two weeks ago. Yeah, 2 1/2 whole months away! Going crazy... Seems like there is really good advice on here, so I'm looking forward to the help. ~Sarah~
