So, I have a very different opinion about extensions because I wear them regularly. I am a huge fan IF you do the research and go to someone who knows what they are doing. I think the biggest piece of advice I can give is to do your research. There are many different kinds of extensions but you have to meet with stylist and get a feel for their work, what system they use, their level of expertise. I've been wearing weaves for years and my natural hair is justpast my shoulders, I just enjoy the freedom and versatility with the heat damage from daily styling. To the point made above, you should have them put in a couple to see what you think before you have them all put in. Where are you located at in Canada? I know someone good in Vancouver. PM me if your interested!

One more thing! Make sure you go to someone good to cut your extensions as well. My regular stylist doesn't put them in for me but I go to her to cut my hair once I'm done. BEWARE of the rough blunt cut...i.e.; no body, straight across it kinda looks like Barbie hair.

Yeah, that's my favorite too! Now all I need to do is try and find it on eBay! I'm a slave to it...I feel like I can pay full price for hardly anything without checking there first. Though, I have gotten some excellent deals that way so I can't complain. The $258 price tag is more than I care to spend on a knit dress, regardless of the label!pinkie.gif
  3. Sounds good Nisha98. The only other thing I was thinking of depending on how long your twists are you could get extensions add to give you the length and versatility to do and up do. Similar concept to braids except for they are double strand twists. I think this could be a good option as well. What do you think. Either way good luck and let me know how it turns out. I'm sure it will be wonderful! pinkie.gif

I had heard the same thing. I think it's best to check out monicabrandon2008 suggested doctor and see what they say. Also, are you sure you want to do it so close your wedding? You're only three months out? I guess you could ask your doctor and see what he/she says. Good luck and let us know what you decide. elefant.gif
  5. I like the variety and definitely prefer the new strip to the hulas girls. I don't think everything always has to be so matchy, matchy, you know? I think you should have equal numbers of the stripe and palm tree. Maybe you can give the palm tree ones to the guys, stripes to the girls? Or if you're giving one to each guest why not place one of each color per couple, then they can choose. Just some ideas!elefant.gif

  6. I was natural for sometime as well and it just so happens I was on vacation in JA with my girls when I had my natural. My hair did so great down there! Believe it or not I loved the humidity and my hair thrived in it. I think I loved it so much because I liked my hair big. While I was there I washed it, conditioned it well and twisted it. Woke up in the morning, took our my twists, styled them a bit with my fingers and was on my way. Other days I would put my product in and pull it up or back into a puff. Both worked well! Also, when I used to travel with my natural I would get the front braided really fine so it was out of my face and the back was left out. It was really cute. Your other option is to get braids so you have more versatility. Any ideas of the look your going for? I think that could help narrow it down.

  7. That's really unfortunate. Of course there are always two sides to every story but in my opinion she's being very selfish. You don't need all that drama. Easier said than done but move on and enjoy the process of creating your fab wedding!

ps... We have the same wedding date. LOL!

From the moment we spoke I knew she would be a friend for life but after getting into her immensely creative brain I knew she had to be my planner! Check out her site, it's absolutely beautiful!
My planner, Lisa Vorce is featured on two blogs today, Style Me Pretty & Design*Sponge. The articles are pretty great! One features Lisa' work and the other her home. Check them out when you have a sec! I gotta support my girl!

I don't have any but they are so accomidating. Have you emailed them to see if they'll send you additional photos? You should try and see what they say.
  11. Thanks again. We haven't figured out which room we will be in yet since we're still waiting for a recommendation from the owner. We're having our wedding dinner on the patio of our room. The hotel has a great view of the nightly fireworks so we're waiting for her to tell us which room as the best view. They also have a mariachi band each night which should be fun and great for pictures! I'll let you know how things progress!

  12. I love, love, love your new hair. It's so wonderful and the color really suits you. At least you took your time to figure it out. My best friend grew out her hair the wedding and cut it off two days after the ceremony. She could stand it.
